I can't seem to get an answer from Kana when I ask for a report on Crossroad Keep- happened last time through the OC. I know a window used to pop up, but nothing happens now.

Kana's conversation fires 21_a_crossroad_report to give you the report. Are you using any mods that affect the OC, like http://nwvault.ign.c...s.Detail&id=343 ? His latest update specifically mentions stuff with Kana.

It's not important to speak to Kana anyway....just to admire her!

I just installed SOZ and updated, same problem. I don't understand how to do out of game scripting at all. Is there anything in debugmode that will bring up the Keep report?

Kana's conversation says runscript:
rs 21_a_crossroad_report()
but i don't see any conditionals on either the convo or in the script (except the standard, check if PC). Other than that it's a long, complicated script that further involves the GUI interface (

the next thing I'd do if i were sitting at your computer would be write up a small script, call it same as above, with a message to PC and drop it into the MyDocs->override folder. like,

sry. Can't be of more he'p. ( even with the results of such script, wouldn't know what to make of it: FALSE would point the problem more toward the conversation, while TRUE would point toward the Gui; in either case, the script itself could be at fault still ). If you're going to do a search for "21_a_crossroad_report" follow it up with one for her dialog, "21_kana". look forfreedom fighters rogues ..

DisplayMessageBox()) and really should have *nothing* to do with MotB or SoZ. You might search your hardrives (override and installation folders) for "21_a_crossroad_report" just to see if there may be a rogue script there

Your override folder is empty?

Can't find the script and override is empty. To top it off, I installed SOZ, which breaks OC. I am trying to download the 332 MB update, but it continually times out. I hope I don't have to uninstall everything, then reinstall.......

Unfortunately, I have no idea how to create a script. Another problem, which may be related is that the pop up to skip the tutorial is gone as well, so I have to play through that.
I am just hoping that I can get my game patched, so I can play it.......

kevL- thanks for that- if I had been patient, I would be playing right now! I deleted everything, since I couldn't even uninstall. Installing/patching OC, then MOTB. Hopefully next weekend, I get SOZ installed and patched, using your directions! At worst, I hope this fixes the popup (or lack thereof) issue

I can now exit the Sunken Flagon without the game crashing, but the popup issue remains. I am pretty sure if I had been able to uninstall the game, instead of deleting the folder, it would have worked, but the control panel would not allow it.
I tried running that script from the in-game console- it said it ran successfully, but nothing happened.
I also have the game on a laptop- can I move all of the folders to my desktop, via an external hard drive? I believe I was able to do that with the original NWN

Do you have .NET 2.0+, what's your OS? Dx9c installed ok?
Do you think it might have something to do with the windoze Registry? I suggest Piriform CCleaner (a program that cleans up temporary files & can search your Registry for fixes). but that's use at your own risk ..
y, good thinking about transferring files from the laptop - your popups are working ok on the laptop? If so, i don't see why not.
Are you going to replace the faulty installation with the laptop installation? (might work, but i'm leaning toward the OS at fault, fwiw)

Wow- finally got it fixed!
I ran CC Cleaner and defragged my hard drive to no effect. Deleted the Neverwinter Nights 2 folder out of the C:\\Program Files\\Atari folder, and transferred the folder from the laptop. Still had the Kana bug, but was upgraded.
The upgraded game was able to be fully uninstalled via the control panel. After doing that, I did a new install off the original NWN2 disk. I tested a save that allowed access to the Keep- Kana's report worked. At that point, I deleted the folder on the C: drive again, then put the laptop version back. Haven't played a complete campaign, but it is running smoothly so far!
Thanks for all the help!
