Oh my god, this is a terrible way to pick games! Good lord! They want you to make your choice based on who you think will win. Not who deserves it, or your personal favorite. They're handing out prizes for people who guess the right ones, and make you lose points if you guess incorrectly.

Paying any attention to contests like this run by various video game websites is ridiculous. Like any popularity based poll, it's rife with bias and a limited sample of voters. As someone who knows what they like and is able to make an informed judgement on what video games are good/bad and influential/dross, I get as much out of seeing the winner of these as reading the escapist's "best game developers" competition.

I agree, i also think this competition is stupid. But a lot of people visit the site (the poll gets up to 50 000 votes by the end), and i just want the Bioware games and some others to have a chance. Probably doesnt make much of a difference, though.

Sorry Bioware, I'd have to give my vote to Deus Ex in a contest like this. Maybe someday you'll figure out how to devise a game with excellent story AND compelling gameplay. In fact, maybe someone in your office should buy that game off Steam for $10 and sit down with it over a slow weekend. Take notes.
