I have read a number of threads about female dwarves, produced by 1pp.

However, I haven't been able to find the download site.

Anybody know where to find it?

I was however a little disappointed with it, due to the fact that they have no beards!

Anyone who has been to Icewind Dale will be aware that female dwarves wear beards.

Or is that only in the colder climes?

It is a case by case thing. Some female dwarves wear beards proudly, some do not. Going by Salvatore's description in the Icewind Dale novels, they wear beards up north. There was one scene where Drizzt and Bruenor are discussing dwarves, and Drizzt apologetically points out he cannot tell the difference between males and females.
