working with duncan this week. i went to poke around and see what animations he was doing in the opening sequence. actually, i expected to open the intro cutscenes and find 'play bink movie,' but i didnt. instead, i found a bunch of cs_introdun.* animations that.... do not exist.

Yes, all the pre-rendered cutscene-specific animations are not included in the source files we have. I sent a PM to someone about 10 months ago requesting them, but never heard back. You can try your luck.

yeah, but... this one wasnt prerendered. at least, not when i opened it in the toolset. it didnt say 'play bink movie,' it had all the actors and those animations in it.

I sent a PM to Bryan Derksen.
It looks like you mean the cutscene with Duncan pushing some Darkspawn off a cliff. It is indeed prerendered in game. The source files for the toolset include the source files for those cutscenes, however, they don't include the animations.
