Well, my character had Blood Magic spec and I was a good character. I saved the lands of Ferelden too! I proved the Templar wrong...:-)

The blood magic spec in Origins was broken in that their were no repercussions.

Nonsense!  You were being histrionic, so I heroically offered you a fainting couch.

They had some but they were broken and harsh.

What about Flemeth? Were her tales not exaggerated?

So, since she didn't devour anyone on your two brief visits, you know all about her?

Some of them are funny as hell though. Especially the one where Wynne excuses you of being a Blood Mage, and both Irving, and Gregoir cover for you. Grey Warden Magic for the win.

If you think mages should be free to roam around do you also think we should give M-16's to everyone including four year olds?

Apostate = Ordinary Mage not within the Circle

Blood Mage = Mage that practices Blood Magic = Maleficar

Abomination = ANY Mage possessed by a Demon

It has not been defined (to my knowledge) what Wynn is other than just a mage.  Also (to my knowledge) there is only one person that knows the truth about Wynn.

Mages roaming around a fantasy world has nothing to do with anyone with an M-16 in the real world.

Or, you can convince Wynne that she didn't even see what she thought she saw.*

How else would you describe their level of power beyond normal man that to compare it to something people can understand in real life?

Could it not be compared to something within the fantasy world?  Fiction is just that, Fiction (as I'm sure you know being an intelligent person).  Debating outside the Source of the debate just leads to rampant iteration (just my opinion).

How about this then:  If you think mages should be free to roam around do you also think the Archdemons should be allowed to have free reign throughout the world??

Mrh..characters I'll play are not stupid enough to plunge the whole world into war just because of their own spite and ignorance. War = bad, mkay?

Especially not since all the spite against the Chantry is based on nothing more than assumptions (the Divine doesn't care about the people...really? Got proof?) and flawed logic.

Try bazookas. Really nasty ones. With chemical warfare warheads. That is a bit more accurate.

This. I'll gather the fuel. I may be a modern person, but anything that says man is (ultimately) stronger than nature can burn for all I care and hope. I've been expecting an apocalypse for the past 5 years and will keep on expecting one.

When ideologues collide!

I will only fight or support the Chantry if it is practical, toward rational ends, not simply because I like or don't like them.

Unless of course, I'm roleplaying a Hawke that doesn't think things through.

Nature as in Mother Earth or Nature as in natural occurrences of the natural world?

Ok then, at first I thought I was seeing things, thanks for the example but I meant something to showcase the vast amount of power an unarmed unarmored mage has against his fellow man.

Not necessarily, Humans can/have full control of Mother Nature, i.e. turning a grassy field into a mega-mall, but we can't go against the laws of physics or ignore our DNA strands
