On the outside both Normandy's look very similar except that the SR-2 is bigger than the SR-1. However, on the inside both ships look  a lot different. The rooms of the Normandy SR-2 is just beautiful and makes the rooms of the Normandy SR-1 look ugly. It's such a massive improvement in ME2 that I wish I had a Normady SR-2. Anyone else prefer the inside of the Normandy in ME2?

SR1 had a much, much cooler engine room and no loading screens (just the quick load on the one elevator ride, nothing like SR2's 4 different floors with 3 load screens to go between them all.)

I love the SR-2 more, and the only complaint against it is the reasoning for giving the Captain's Quarters (Shepard's room) his own floor, therefore a loading screen to go there. It's just a nuisance really, since all you can do there that is productive is change your armor.

Really wish it was somewhat like Miranda's office being on on the crew's level.

Yes. I like the SR-2 inside better than the SR-1. There are more rooms inside the SR-2.

On higher end computers, the loading time to go to deck 01 can be less than a second.

i wish the SR2 had the SR1's interior layout... like the blue lighting and doors...

the SR1 was awesome...looked like the Voyager ship from Star Trek Voyager.

SR2 >>> SR1

the color scheme, the layout, the fact that EDI tells you you're in the wrong bathroom, the captain's quarters, etc.

By far better than the SR1.

so, I don't care about that.

The dark blue was ugly.

CG and updates in tech tend to make things look better but as far as layout I prefer SR1 I liked using the stairs to go to crew, med, and mess I just hated the 1 MPH elevator to engineering I don't like the elevator in 2 so much either sense its the only form of getting between floors for Shep I wish stairs even French style round ones if thats what it took sense in an emergency elevators should be avoided because of failure to preform yeah know?

2's elevator makes me paranoid that if say another SR1 incident was to occur the elevator would leave me stranded on whatever floor I happened to be on and if say that incident occurred and the developers made the elevator work anyway I'd say that was totally inaccurate sense an explosion that big would in real life wipe out the elevator machines so either way it'd turn into a damn if they did or didn't issue.

I love the more open feel of the SR2, but I do miss the music theme that played in the SR1.

SR-1 for me. Just fit the plot better as it is a military stealth recon ship... not a luxury cruiser. Too many bells and whistles on the SR-2... especially EDI. And Cerberus is behind it's design? Let's just pull over and jump ship before this thing blows up next to a daycare center.

I would've like the SR2 better if there weren't ****ing loading screens everytime you go somewhere. It was such a pain in the ass having to endure a loading screen just to change one piece of armour or feed my fish. For this simple nuisance, i like the SR1 better.

My thoughts exactly. The same problem also occurs in hubworlds, as all of the them (except Afterlife) are completely silent.

Yeah the loading times weren't nearly as bad as on the SR1s infamous elevator from the crew deck to engineering (and I meant that!). The only real problem I had was the paint job and seeing cerberus's logo everywhere. For ME3 I'm hoping for something a little more privateer in style, something that shows Shepards' independence of the council and cerberus.

I prefer the SR-2 by a mile. Don't get me wrong, the SR-1 is cool and all, but the second normandy is simply superior, with a better interior design, as well being bigger.

SR1 seems quite dark inside. I'm surprised the crewmen don't fall asleep. SR2 is bright and shiny.

Of the two ships, SR2 looks nicer, I think, and I do like the captain's cabin, but I also miss the music (and in the hubworlds for that matter).

Bah! SR-2 pisses me off just because it wastes so much space with unnecessary things. Thought this was meant to be a warship not a luxury cruiser!

But yeah...it still looks better than the original.

I feel less claustrophobic, that's for sure. Also, as much as I love blue, I thought there was too much in the first one.
