Maybe this is a dumb question because i seem to be the only one in the known universe who has asked this. But I just want to make sure if I do a new game+ for mass effect 2. Will my old saves still be there ?
will doing a new game+ ruin my savegame for mass effect 3?

It's hard to tell but it should work like it did with ME1, every time you finished the game you had a separate file to import, i.e. your first playthrough and your new game+ would be separate file (if Shepard survives the suicide mission in both)

I think its going to work differently for 3 as you can continue playing after the final mission and the rest of the dlc is meant to build up ME3. my guess is you will pick a save file much like dragon age when going into the dlc and awakening. dont know for sure of course.
