Which is better for Leliana Ranger or Assassin. I want to push her to her darker character by the end of the game so not sure which is suitable, i have seen on the web that assassin class is available much late in the game.
Leliana - Ranger or Assassin class ?

She starts as a bard, and you won't give her a second specialization until level 14. By then you'll have access to the assassin class.
Assassin if she's DW.
Ranger if she's archery.
Assassin if she's DW.
Ranger if she's archery.

All her starting talents are also thrown into archery, so might aswell keep it that way.

Also does it have any effect if i want her to be more of a darker character cause i saw some where that through conversations you can make her more darker character, by the way what is that ?

Story choices won't alter any of her (or any other character's) skills in any way.
Leliana comes with several archery and lock picking talents which, along with her natural Bard specialization, sets her up as a good support/utility-type "scout" Rogue. As with all the companions, trying to turn her into anything else will ultimately leave her slightly gimpy, so there's really no good reason to make her an Assassin (which necessitates DW daggers) unless your veteran party is severely starved for damage.
Duelist and Ranger both provide worthwhile benefits as a second specialization, however. Duelist will make her slightly better all around offensively and defensively, Ranger will give her an animal companion.

Agree that Ranger is the best specialization for an archer, & Assassin is best for DW.
Minor side note: (With the TC's permission?) Does anyone know if a character can have DW Mastery & wield 2 full-sized weapons, & still use Assassin skills, or if Assassin skills will refuse to work without daggers?

What dialouge options will move her to a more darker side of her character. i am trying that with every companion possible.

As far as I know Rogues are capable of backstabs even with full-sized weapons since I've not heard anything to the contrary, but I can't say with absolute certainty. My Rogue isn't high enough to have taken Dual-Wield Mastery (and even if she was I'm not sure I'd take it since I plan to use daggers anyways) and I never use Zevran in my main's party.

The choice to harden Leliana will come on the tail-end of her personal quest, as it will with Alistair. The choices should be fairly obvious when they present themselves.
