There are only so many hoops I will jump through in order to get new items, but I have to say that Facebook is where I draw the line. -_- I can only selfishly hope that the items aquired are quickly made obsolete. :P

This will do so good to my postgrad studies. I have already made up excuses for March why I do not leave the house:

"I have a trip so I cannot attend lecture today" Oh yea? Where will you travel then? "Ahem. Kirkwall. Small place. You wouldn't know it".

"I simply cannot submit my essay. I have personal reason." What could be so important? " My sister is chased by Templ.. I mean.. Tax collector".

I'll sign up. As long as I don't get posts on my wall like some of the other facebook games... that annoys me.

I signed up for the updates, but if the game ends up requiring facebook I'll just have to go without whatever items it might unlock.

Does this mean there isn't going to be additional chapters to Dragon Age: Journeys?

Really now, BioWare, really?

I KNOW the Facebook virus has taken over the internet for quite some time now (those obnoxious "Like"-Button everywhere, as if this actually means anything to anyone). But forcing your fans to sign up there as to not to fall behind on in-game content, plus an opportunity to become a beta tester, which obviously is highly attractive to all of your fans, not just Fakebook users ("everyone")?
What if I am an avid (paying) fan of your products and just happen to dislike services like Facebook and make the perfectly valid choice not to have an account there? right?

Wow, just wow, you guys.

Legendary my ass.

Umm... yes, it ABSOLUTELY reqires Facebook. It is a Facebook game and in the "what is required" states you must have a Facebook account.

Was this not clear?

Dragon Age Journeys is a Facebook exclusive game that will be playable by everyone early next year. Playing Dragon Age Journeys will allow fans on Facebook not only to experience a new adventure within Thedas, but also to unlock items for use when they play Dragon Age 2.

You meant Legends, right?Posted Image

I noticed the castle in one screenshot and I couldn't help but wondering will it require you to have friends and such to guard it? Or will you be able to play to the end as a single player as in Journeys? I really hope it's the latter.

Or am I asking to soon?

I was reading my Twitter feed and thinking "I haven't been to FB in weeks and I couldn't be happier. Perhaps I should delete my account." and then I scroll down and see this. Guess there goes my awesome plan. Perhaps it'll be nice payback for all those Mafia Wars spam posts that end up on my news feed.

I totally disagree with BioWare on this. I hate Face Book and pretty much refuse to use it and now BioWare is putting a game on there that lets you get items that carry over to DA2?! Disappointing to say the least. They should of just stuck to the way they made DA: Journeys

That's like trying not to catch leprosy living in a cabin full of afflicted (pardon the crude analogy).
Facebook is becoming an integral part of all of the mainstream internet. Trying to avoid will make you look like a "social" outlaw sooner or later. It's going to be like not having a telephone.

Yeah it really is. I just feel like I have so much more time in my life to do things like read, draw, play Dragon Age, etc. when I'm not devoting time to reading about what someone I haven't spoken to since high school is doing in Farmville. I guess in the long run it's probably better just to keep it around even if I don't use it.

Couldn't agree with this more. Facebook has had plenty of security issues and I don't really understand this current social enigma of freely divulging your personal details to anyone and everyone over the Internet on these sorts of sites.

Please offer an alternative for us to obtain these exclusives without having to a utilize a service that many of us do not approve of or have a desire to use.

I hope it doesn't require to connect your EA and FaceBook accounts and it just gives unlock codes for DA2 items. I do not indend to start using FB other than create random account to play DA Legends.

P.S. And yes, I'm proud of not having FaceBook account + I don't feel like a "social" outlaw. :P

I also don't understand why you just don't incorporate Dragon Age Legends on your own Bioware SocialNetwork. Why put all the effort into this site just to push us over to Facebook?

I think it's a means to advertise to potential new customers.

Now I realize why facebook is required, I've just read this french article, I understand what they have planned with the new Journey cursed version.

check your own national press if you don't read french.

So BioWare, do you intend to make money by this collaboration? Will you sell item in this new Journeys, items that can be used in DA2?

Not for me, I assume

Just have to wait for some new banners like I used to be ....?
