 Hi,

I keep getting the "Your login cannot be processed at this time." error when I try to sign up.

Would anyone have a spare key I could use to give this game a shot? Or does anyone know how to fix this issue??

that's truly bizarre.  I requested access and got it within a week, from a completely new EA account.  I'm surprised that the process of sending out beta keys could truly be that random...

I cannot link my legends to my EA account. I'm talking about where you link it right below where is shows the unlockables. I'm thinking it is just because it is the beta and they are not allow it yet.

so...just out of interest. Is this still planned for release before DA2? Time is running out, so I hope that this Beta test will be over any day now, otherwise its a bit pointless. Once DA2 hits, I wont be playing some facebook game, extra items or not.

I've been trying Dragon Age Legends today (got a Beta Key from GameSpot), and thought I'd share my thoughts. Be interested to read other people's opinions.

Lots of negative thoughts here sadly, but I hope they can build on the good stuff and make the game better. I know it is only in beta now. I do want it to be good!

(1) More explanation is needed.
I think more tool tips to explain what buttons do would be a big help, and better guidance to help you get into the game. Several other things confused me too. I didn't seem to have enough magic in the early encounters, and I was confused as to why I couldn't move. (I learned later that this is because it was the battle screen.)

(2) The cool down system is rubbish.
You choose characters to join your party, but after they take part in combat it takes a couple of hours before they can do that again. Not only does this make no sense (perhaps if they needed time to recover if "killed" in a fight that would make sense), but it also means you can't play for more than a few minutes before having to turn off for a few hours. This is ridiculously frustrating and will likely make me give up.

(3) Spending real money is crazy.
There is a way to get people in your party quicker, pay real money! Plus you can pay real money for items. And you could end up quickly spending a lot of money. There are also two currencies in the game coins and crowns. I have no idea what the difference is - or how I get more crowns. I also feel slightly tricked that I "bought" some kind of horn to summon my characters to battle - but rather than being a permanent thing, it was only for one use.

(4) The app window size is too big and some of the pop ups are a bit wonky.
I keep having to scroll up and down - and I have a modern, reasonable size lap top. This seems like bad design. There are also lots of pop up windows (when shopping for example) that don't seem to open and close properly. In other words navigating my way around the content is kind of frustrating.

(5) The story totally escapes me.
I have no idea what I am doing and why. This seems a real shame when the story of Dragon Age is one of its strongest points.

(6) They need to sort out the DA2 unlocks.
There are not yet any details of how we get the unlocks, so that removes a big motivation for playing through the game.

(7) It's all a bit late.
Obviously, this should be up and running now to help promote DA2. I really hope they can get it finished and working soon.

And some positives...

(8) The graphics are nice.
I like the characters. I like the way you can customise your castle. It generally looks pretty good.

(9) The battle system is OK.
The combat system mostly works OK and is fairly easy to pick up. I will be interested to see how higher level spells work.

(10) It is mildly addictive.
I do want to go a bit further. I do want to try and build up my character. I just wish it was easier to do so without all the cool down nonsense.

I noticed in the options menu there is a promo pack button. It looks like I can get N7 heavy armor for playing ME2, but then when I check it says I have no available promo packs. Anyone know how to get these?

Just got my beta code from Curse.com, tried playing, it's stuck on "summoning hero". Is the server down or something? (PS: The dancing golem is disturbing yet funny.)

I got my key from gamespot, but same thing is happening to me,  probably the the servers are down or being getting hit so many new people that they broke.
