As someone in the Legends beta, it's currently impossible to unlock the items for DA2. Just says information about unlocking these items available at a future date.

Short version: Best guess would be 1 week minimum before open beta, and unlockables might or might not be added at that time. I wouldn't wait around for them...
Longer version:
Those of us in the current (closed) DAL beta don't even have info about where/how to unlock the items--there are a pretty good number of things that are stubbed out or incompletely implemented right now, including giving gifts to other players (used to work with rings only but doesn't work at all now AFAICT). There are still some other things that I would expect would be fixed before open beta--places where the text is obvious filler, including all the 'lore points' in the game (which just have repetitive text related to basic Thedas lore). Then again, a number of things have changed even in between "releases". If you want to track the game, check the DAL page on Facebook, and there's also a separate forum on this (social.bioware) site that anyone can read which includes info on DAL updates and character wipes.
For anyone trying to get a key...it's really just not that hard.

When they say "Legends Account", do they mean your Facebook login email, or the email for your EA account used when d-loading the Legends demo? ...Because my FB email is different than my EA email.
Not sure if I start doing the quests tomorrow morning to unlock the DA2 items if it will be all for nothing?

Korruptted is quite right...my guess on the unlockables was way off. I'd also agree with his assessment on how to get #1 and #5...but I'll tell you that I've been playing pretty regularly since the last data wipe (02 March) and my best PC is a level 12 mage who hasn't even gotten to the *areas* in which #2, #3, and #4 are described as being obtained. I started the beta late, so I don't know whether that means I'd get to them in another day or two...but since all the existing beta account characters are being wiped tomorrow and everyone's starting from scratch, it's going to be a while before I feel like spending chunks of 5 or 6 days trying to get up to a point where I can possibly pick up some unlockables...I'll be more likely to just play DA2 "without" at least once.
Note that with enough FB "friends" also playing, one could probably shorten that to 2 or 3 days to level 12...but no matter your skill and experience there are some significant cooldown times required in DAL in order to adventure again. It's not really possible to play for more than 90 minutes out of every 200 or so, the way the game is balanced right now. If you're relying only on the built-in party NPCs, their cooldown (which is *separate* from the "stamina" cooldown) knocks it down to more like 30 minutes playtime out of 150.
EDIT: I was badly wrong about #2 and #3, since #2 takes only about 5-10 minutes and #3 happens soon after. I was going off the area names/descriptions and thinking I hadn't seen them yet...

Your Legends account is (at least should be) the same e-mail as your EA master account and your Bioware Social site account. At one point I think I had separate passwords, but since they they all got merged AFAICT.

Even more good news: Everyone who has purchased DA2, and has registered the game to their EA/BW account, should be able to log into Legends as of 08 March (sometime?) without a beta key. At least that's the impression I get from:

Short notice to all interested: If you own DAII, then all you need to do is register yuor game here and then login to the DAL with your EA account. No need for beta key or anything.

Ok, played some DAL today, and I can say for certain that you can get the second item within 5 minutes after your castle tutorial, so only #3 and #4 remain a mistery.
