While my character is running everything is fine but as soon as i stop, my character will turn in a 90degree angle, it isnt a big problem just a minor annoyance but im just wondering if there is a community fix or something i can change in an .ini file somewhere.  Any help with be greatly appreciated.

~Thank you

Other people have seen this (including me): http://social.biowar...8/index/4446064

There's no solution there, sadly. It's very annoying. If you only update to 1.22 it works fine, but you don't get whatever benefits 1.23 brings.

Edit: The client extension suggested in the linked thread didn't help me at all. It's affected me on two computers, and seems to only strike when I actually turn when walking. Moving in a straight line works fine more or less, which means if you click-to-move, it's probably not too bad. Totally ruins character mode though.

The upcoming Client Extension release will include a workaround for a 90 degree spin which occurs when using the Step Left / Step Right keys. When the release is made, the sticky in the PW/Multiplayer forum will be updated.

Released the Client Extension (1.0.0.18) which has a work around for the 90 degree spin issue.  More details here: http://social.biowar...6438/LP#3116438

Scratch that, I'm getting major FPS issues when using this.

Can you provide more details as to what is happening and how to reproduce it? Does this occur for all modules?

My frames will be fine for the most part then a battle starts and the fps goes nutty, not unplayable but not ideal, it seems to be going up and down. It happens in the OC and in SoZ.

My Savior! Although my frame rate has dropped a bit, but its nothing compared to that damned turning bug.

If you experience slightly reduced FPS when using the CE, you can try closing (or minimizing) the CE's Area Map window (not the in-game minimap). Especially on systems that are highly CPU-limited, this might be the result of a framerate loss in some cases.

I'm having this same issue, and I purchased the game from STEAM. The problem here is that whenever we try to join a Multiplayer game, it just sits at "Trying to log in" when using the extension. So... is there a fix for this?

Thank you, I have a YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/bashur) and me and four others are about to do a playthrough of NWN2, and the walking bug is driving us completely nuts. Apparently your extension is the -only- fix for this. Not to mention the other stuff it can do are quite impressive.

Bashur,

I sent you a PM a few days ago to try and gather more information as to what was going on with your specific repro here.

I believe the next CE release should fix the game getting stuck at "logging in" problem. This is something that would have been most likely experienced if you were attempting to host a multiplayer server from within nwn2main (the client), while you had the CE in use.

A workaround is to type the "/localnetlayer" command into the CE "Send message" window before attempting to host the game. The console should say something to the effect of "Not using local NetLayerWindow implementation." if all worked after typing that command.

The specific stuck at "logging in" issue is a CE regression caused by an unfortunate interaction with the local multiplayer server networking code and some of the changes the CE makes to the client's networking system.  The next release changes how things work to avoid this happening.
