The game installs by default to C: drive and I need to install it to my D: drive where I have the space for games. If anybody can help me with this or direct me to a post where itis discussed I would much appreciate it.
Thanks!

I might be completely out there, as I have no big official computer experience, but I would think in the installation process to hit custom when it brings up that little box that shows you where it is going to go and switch it to your D drive and put it in a folder.
Just a thought.

Unfortunately, Mass Effect 2 (and Dragon Age, as well) don't give you an option of where to install the game. They both go straight into C: without asking, unlike most other games.

I have DA:O and ME2 on another drive (other than system drive). IIRC it is an option in the installer... just look for it again.
If you have a steam version or a torrented version (i hope not...) then it might be otherwise...

Look for it in the setup. Hit Custom.
And you can still trick steam to an external/removable drive using hardlinks/softlinks. Quite an advanced operation, but there's a lot of info on the net about how to create a seemingly "normal" folder that redirects to an another folder on a different drive.

It is possible to move the steam installation folder to another drive without symbolic links. (I have steam installed on my D drive).
If you still can't get the games to install where you want it, just move the ME2/DAO folder wherever you want, and create a symbolic link where the game thinks it is (still on C drive). Check here for how to do that:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WG2ICCnGk1M
Basically it a shortcut to another folder, which will trick windows into thinking the folder is where the shortcut is when it is actually somewhere else (by returning the correct address). It only works on vista and win7 though.

um...yes, they do actually. Considering that I have my ME2 installed on my E: drive, that option does exist.Spudmuphin wrote...
