At 1:17 I dodge his cover buster by moving around while in cover.

Hmm, maybe I'll consider Cryo Ammo. I currently have Warp Ammo as my bonus talent.
sinosleep is using warp ammo in his vid he posted, but he uses his squadmates powers really well to take out the Collectors on the first platform fast enough to prevent Harbinger spawning.
TBH I don't think I've ever not had Harbinger not spawn on the first platform, but Cryo usually gives me enough time time to take him down without anybody else shooting at me.

This video is perfect in showing how to dodge the problem. Also at 2:14 he does get hit by the cover-buster but he has already taken out the other collectors so nobody is there to kill him when it happens. Great job, makes me want to play infiltrator again.

There's also the problem of Harbinger advancing on my position and not giving me much time to dodge.
Remember to use Cloak. Harby will focus his attention on your squadmates so you can move to the other platform and land a headshot.

My new question is about the weapons. I've gotten everything standard in the game, including the Geth Pulse Rifle. My primary character is a Widow Infiltrator, so apart from using the Locust instead of the Tempest, my personal weapons are set. However, I'm not entirely sure about what to give my squad. What are the best loadouts for everyone?

Ok, new question. I'm asking all of these because I just recently got my own copy of the game (for free!) so I'll have more time to play without having to borrow someone else's copy. Also, I can get the DLC without shelling out extra for the Cerberus Network. I'm about to get 1600 MS Points (I currently have 60 in my account) also for free, which means I'm going to get Lair of the Shadow Broker, Kasumi and the Firepower Pack.

Dude, why not pay for the game. You could get the PC version for $10.00. We want Bioware to make money on this game so they will make ME3 great. If you got it for free, fine, but why mention it.

Imo, the Incisor sniper riffle is a good for Squad members who can use sniper riffles. Other than the Incisor, I think other weapons work pretty much the same for squad members - though I also equip my squad with the GPS shotgun because it has better range - dunno if it made any difference though.

Tempest is a very good weapons for companions who can use SMG and pistols only because they are very accurate with that weapon. But the game usually automatically choose that for you.

Like Ashwind said, Squadmates are more accurate then Shepard when it comes to guns, and never run out of ammo.
Pistols - I would say Phalanx just because it has the highest damage per shot. I never have my squadmantes use pistols anyway.
SMG - Tempest. Locust better for Shep, but Tempest is better for squadmates overall.
Assault Rifle- Vindicator or Mattlock. Not sure which one would have the edge.
Sniper Rifle - Incisor, no contest. Even deadlier with Armor Piecing or Inferno rounds. Legion MAY do more danage with Widow, but Incisor can cut shields at sniper range, allowing you to finish off with your own Sniper Rifle.
EDIT: If you don't have Incisor, I would say Mantis over Viper. Squadmates don't fire very fast with the Viper for some reason.
Shotgun - Eviscerator or Geth Plasma Shotgun. Don't know which one for sure. Except for Grunt, let him use Claymore since he can use Assault Rifles for long range.

No, the Incisor is only if you bought the Digital Deluxe Edition or if you buy the Aegis Pack.
On that topic, Kestrel Armor's pretty good. Looks cool too.

AR: Vindicator
SR: Incisor
SMG: Tempest
For shotguns, I give Claymore to Grunt and GPS to Jacob and Jack, but these two stay on the Normandy all the time anyways.

No, my problem isn't the Collector Ship Praetorian (yet) since on Insanity, I have yet to get to that part. I can't get past the first fight on the ship since every single time, Harbinger knocks me out of cover and the other Collectors shoot me too quickly for me to recover and get back in cover.
If you time it right, you can shift to the left or right at the last second and have it not damage you.

Assault Rifle - Mattock
Shotgun - GPS for Jacob and Jack (more accurate at distance), Claymore for Grunt
Heavy Pistol - Carnifex (higher rate of fire edges out Phalanx for companions)
SMG - Tempest
Sniper Rifle - Incisor (since squad mates are very accurate, they hit with all three shots.)
Without the incisor, the only squad mate you're likely to see a real difference with is Thane. I would suggest giving him the Mantis, as the general rule is, since squad mates don't have ammo limits, they do best with limited ammo weapons. However, rate of fire on the Viper may edge this out. The companion weapon thread doesn't seem to take into account if the player doesn't have the Incisor, most likely because it is readily available for purchase, unlike, for example, the collector gear or terminus gear, which can only be obtained through a collector's edition game or pre-order code, respectively.
Honestly though, aside from Legion using the Widow, I've never noted any of the squad mate weapon choices to be game defining, meaning that if you equip them with the wrong weapon, it probably won't mean all that much.
