I was just wondering if Bioware had anything else planned DLC wise before the release of ME3, or is Lair of the Shadowbroker the last one ?

I've been wondering the same thing. Checking the website twice a week hoping for another DLC announcement.

how about a piece of dlc that adds the rest of the items from pre orders and that promotion thingy? maybe bung out a couple more alt outfits for characters aswell to bulk the pack up abit and charge 4-500 points for it that should sate our appetities a little bit whilst you make the bridging stuff.

So far Bioware has said that the DLC will be bridges. They also said they might maybe do another appearance pack, presumably because it takes them about a day and makes $$$.

What is your source for more armor/weapons? That's a lot more in-depth than an appearance pack and it wouldn't bridge to ME3, one wouldn't think.

I think the above predictions are a bit, well, daft. Nothing until DA2 or ME2 PS3? Those are months away. The support for ME2 needs to be consistent, and if they wait until March (or later) then what's the point of releasing it? Most people will have shrugged their shoulders and gone on to other things until ME3 is released.

I suspect we'll see at least one release before the month is out. They wanted to know what we want for AAP #2, and I suspect it'll be out before the end of November. I don't think we'll have any story DLC until December (or very late November at the earliest) because I think they'll spread it out a little.

I'm going to wager these are what we have left:
3 x Appearance Packs (3 x 3 Costumes)
2 x Gear Packs (Weapons & Armour Pieces)
2 x Story Packs.

I can see them adding further weapons to the game along with armour types, and two packs will easily give enough gear. Unless they raise the level cap in a patch, I can't see them adding too many story packs, and the Appearance Pack guess is pretty much that. 12 Squadmates = 12 Costumes. We've had 3 so far, which leaves 9. The other alternative is 2 x 5, with one slot for Shepard - Alliance Navy uniform, perhaps?

I could personally care less for Gear and appearance packs. I'm all about the story.

they need to keep making adding consistent DLC on regular basis. or else they take a risk of loosing a big portion of their playing base, who will simply move onto new different things or give up playing mass effect 2 alltogether.  the best way to avoid that , while still making some money is to keep adding DLC for it.

1. LotSB is the first bridging DLC and there will be "more"
2. All the DLC from now on will be bridges to ME3
3. Ok, fine, maybe one more appearance pack

So I ask you: on what information are you basing your guess that we are getting more gear packs? Are you just wagering or guessing for what you want to see? I hope not, because that is stupid and unhelpful and tells us nothing. Is there anything in the universe less interesting that the random, uninformed guess of a stranger?

If you're going to suspect or guess or surmise, please try to do so by starting with the facts. Otherwise you're just wasting our time.

Maybe they're just leaving DA2 on the spotlight for now.

I think new DLC around Xmas time would be good.

Wow, you've got a broom in a tight place, haven't you? My guesses were based on nothing but the previous behaviour of ME2 DLC releases. I never stated *as a fact* that BioWare will or won't release some, I stated that I believe they may release some more in the future.

It's not what I want to see, it's what I predict to be released in the future. They numbered the Appearance Pack as number one for a reason. They've asked what we want in the second for a reason. "Just one more" would be a blind prediction - If they're going to give new uniforms to half of the crew, why not the other half?

Oh, and got a source for the quote that the remainder of ME2 DLC will be bridging to ME3 only? Seems a bit wrong when you consider that they've asked, and might I add relatively recently, what we'd like in the next Appearance Pack.

The appearance pack announcement came after. It's what we call a "sop". It means the next real DLC is a way off yet and they need to keep interest/make money in the meantime. Also, one might reason that an appearance pack is much quicker to make and requires a lot less playtesting than a new gun or cinematic-laden DLC.

Hey, if they announce that there will be another gear/romance DLC, I'll be the first to start speculating on what's in it. And I'm not trying to be a jerk (well, not too much of a jerk), but since BW has already made some pronouncements on what to expect, it seems to me we should take them at their word, unless and until they give us some new words. Guessing things that contravene what they've said seems silly to me, like mailing your letter to santa on the 26th.

I love your passion and enthusiasm for ME, I just think it should be aimed better.

Bravo yep that is about what I'm thinking. They dumped doing anymore DLC for DAO because of the upcoming releas of DA2, and since ME3 is supposed to come out around the same time it would make sense Bioware would stop DLC production for ME2 as well. I hope not but I would not be surprised if in a month or so we get a notice from Bioware that Lair of the Shadowbroker was the last DLC because of how quickly ME3 came together and we feel it is better to get a whole new game out top you VS. fulfilling our original promise to provide 2 years of DLC content. lol

Bioware please come on this thread and comment is LOTSB the last DLC  or is there more to come ?

They'll have more for ME2. And the only reason they said that about DA DLC was because they didn't know that DA2 would be ready so fast.

Didn't heard that 1st statement from them, but if they certainly said that, you've got a point...

Let's REALLY hope that doesn't happen in ME2. My Vanguard still wants to kick some asses.
