ME and DA are certainly different teams. Two different engines, two different settings, two different types of gametallon1982 wrote...
I would assume they already have an idea for where the DLC's will guide the story and probably have them either finished or in the testing stages (and we all know testing takes time). That being said there are supposedly different teams working on ME and DA games so I don't think they would screw the gamers over by saying LOTSB was the only DLC and move on like they pretty much did with DA:O (mediocre DLCs that didn't really show players love just a half-ass'd story that should have been part of the original game to start with imo)

I think you may misunderstand the purpose of these forums. They're for the fans. Announcing upcoming BioWare products is somewhat secondary to this -- those things get announced through the usual channels just as any other game developer. In fact, the few BioWare employees who do post to these forums might likely be prohibited from discussing products that are in development.
Many fans are frustrated that we don't see much BioWare participation in the ME forums. I have no idea to the reasons of an employee participating or not participating in these forums, but I do know it is their choice. I wouldn't take their lack of participation as a slap in the face either, as sometimes forums just aren't their thing. I've seen how so many writers, artists, producers, and creators of various sci-fi media have been treated on different forums in the past. It is a minefield. Navigating minefields might not be their idea of a good time, especially when there other mediums such a Twitter that one can use instead.
I wouldn't take silence as dismissive dislike on the part of BioWare. You don't know why they're silent. So rather than projecting your own reasons, just take it as silence. That's all it is, it doesn't have to have sinister qualities to it.
Hi.
First thing I must said, you misunderstood what I said.
Biaware is a Company, and a Company have a different depatments responsilbe for different tasks.
For the creators of the game (whole team): Youre are great. I admire you work and do not expect you will anoounce anything here.
It is right, They prpoably can't even talk with us, even if they want. And they make the greatest game ever. Full respect. And thank you.
But there are ppl who decide there, and ppl who are responsible of marketing. And THEY do not quite excellent work.
They create formum for fans. Here they have the most devotet fans they have, but announcenments here is the last. I don't mind announcing anything on twitter, but do it the same time, why not? Bcs there is Christina and here is Chris? They don not talk with each other or what?
And the forum is not charity. It is the gold mine. They have opinion from ppl all around the world ( it cost big fat money). But I was a witness of lousy bosses who don't used the sources they have.
Why not hype us? Hype is good. It is said ' no matter what they said, matters they talk'
About marketing - I found the ME2 on the shelf in the store. Just like
that. Looked and think - is it the second part of the game I liked two
years ago? And I bought it. A lot of ppl don't. But everyone who I
showed the game bougth it and played it, and become fans. So if more ppl will know about
it, they bought it. There was no even single advertisement of ME2, but a
lot of Fifa, Starcraft and so on. What is the outcome - they selling
for less then half the price. And still most ppl know nothing about the
game. What can I say? I'm sorry for the creators, bcs that great game
deserves better.
The DLC - they annouced in the beginning ( not here, here is the last site to get news) there will be one DLC a month. Great idea. We are wainting, but...no news. What happend to that idea? We are waiting here to buy, and have nothing to bought... Interesting way of selling things, isn't it?
And then what? The capitan of the ship think - let do it for PS3.
Now we speculating if thay make any more DLC, bsc they all busy to make it work on PS3.
I have no idea what is true, but I started to worry. And all I have from Bioware ( as a company) is silent.
So, all they left to us is speculations and it is not good for the company as a whole thing. I think the creators is not happy as well. Their work is wasting.
This is all. I will not post this kind of stuff anymore. I'm worried about my favorite game and it is matters to me if I could get another DLC or not. I'm a big fan of the game and will buy even the PS3 version, just for support. Bcs they need support with this kind of managment. And I want more creations.
To any fans who feels offended - sorry, that is not what I mean.
And sorry for that wall of tekst.
To BW ME team: Im waiting here for every piece of your creation. Guys, take care and hold the lines:)

BW continues to support the content of DA:O. http://help.dragonage.com/ continues to be an active link.
I too have read the post stating that WH is the final DLC for DA:O, and as of today I've seen no additional DA:O DLC's.
So, what makes you doubt BW's statements? (Ignoring the bazaar fiasco...)

You've misunderstood what I meant. I'm not talking about technical support, I'm talking about supporting the game with DLC, i.e. they had initially stated Dragon Age would recieve two years of content, whereas we ended up with less than a year's worth of content and the final four packs (Darkspawn, Leliana, Golems, Witch Hunt) were more like standalone quest-packs rather than integrated DLC that affected or worked with the main game.Mooner911 wrote...

Pepper was right in regards to what I meant. There's been no official statement to that effect, and all we have is a tweet from Christina Norman saying she thinks there'll be no more Cerberus DLC. Of course, that could change but I doubt it will. There has been no announced end to the news updates, but I would suspect they won't remain "new" for much longer.Shockwave81 wrote...

That is because they decided to shoot DLC down our throats like they were force feeding us (A lot came out real quick) and that DA2 is pretty much done so there's no point to adding more. ME3 is a year or two away.
I really hope for an expansion (Like DA:O Awakening) that adds one to two more squadmates (They said no more but if its in an expansion...), new armor, new alt costumes for squadmates, new weapons, ten+ hours of story, and new places to go.
I also predict two to three more story related DLCs. I can see them doing the rest of the squadmates costumes in alt appearence packs. Weapons packs are popular for some reason so I can see them making a few more (Hopefully free over Cerberus network?? Please?) But I cannot see them adding more squadmates unless its in an expansion.

Uh... No. Might want to reread what I posted
I read it, and assumed you were being facetious by listing the quotes of "We have two years of content support for DA:O" (which wasn't true once the game was released in Nov 2009 and the DLC is up Sept of 2010...less than a year).
But then, you wrote "Witch Hunt is the final DLC for Dragon Age: Origins", which so far it has been. Then you finished your statement with:
Excuse me if I don't put too much faith into anything BioWare say.
To me, this indicates you were being sarcastic throughout the entire post, including the reference to Witch Hunt being the final DLC for Origins, which to me indicates there actually might be more DLC after Witch Hunt, at least in your opinion, hence my question.
I know there isn't another DAO DLC after Witch Hunt, just wanted to clarify what you were trying to say.
Am I just being dense?

I think the above predictions are a bit, well, daft. Nothing until DA2 or ME2 PS3? Those are months away. The support for ME2 needs to be consistent, and if they wait until March (or later) then what's the point of releasing it? Most people will have shrugged their shoulders and gone on to other things until ME3 is released.
I suspect we'll see at least one release before the month is out. They wanted to know what we want for AAP #2, and I suspect it'll be out before the end of November. I don't think we'll have any story DLC until December (or very late November at the earliest) because I think they'll spread it out a little.
I'm going to wager these are what we have left:
3 x Appearance Packs (3 x 3 Costumes)
2 x Gear Packs (Weapons & Armour Pieces)
2 x Story Packs.
I can see them adding further weapons to the game along with armour types, and two packs will easily give enough gear. Unless they raise the level cap in a patch, I can't see them adding too many story packs, and the Appearance Pack guess is pretty much that. 12 Squadmates = 12 Costumes. We've had 3 so far, which leaves 9. The other alternative is 2 x 5, with one slot for Shepard - Alliance Navy uniform, perhaps?
I could personally care less for Gear and appearance packs. I'm all about the story.
That's where I'm different. I want story to come slowly. I don't want the Trilogy to be coming to an end so soon.
I'm all for Gear and Weapons, the things that make each playthrough more different than eachother.
Apparently, according to the XBOX magazine, only 4 people (with xbox live) have completed more than 23 Playthroughs. I'd love to be the 5th, but it gets boring. Rather than each playthrough having more hours, I'd rather each Playthrough having more Versatility.

I found it pretty easy to understand
Bioware said that they had 2 years of content and DLC support for DA:O, less than a year later they announce that Witch Hunt is the final DLC, then he/she/it says that he/she/it doesn't trust BWs word, I thought the message she was trying to get across was quite clear...

It's probably been a big wait on the alt appearance packs because there was probably alot of concept work done after that suggestion thread a little while ago, modeling/texture/rigging/checking time after that and we'll probably be getting the rest of the crew'd alt appearance packs within a more rapid succession of eachother.
What I REALLY hope we get is motion comic versions of the other ME2 comics that have been released in book and online formats.

Starting January the Illusive Man comic series will be coming out. Call me crazy but I believe the T.I.M. comics will provide the background story to the last bridging dlc (with specific reference to Captain Anderson and Retribution).
