ME2 had plenty of opened ends that they can cover with major DLC. Up until LotSB Bioware was keeping it's promise to deliver new DLC every month. But LotSB was released in first days of Sep, which is soon 4 month ago.

There was 1 month between Firepower Pack and LotSB and 2 and half month between major DLC (Overlord) and LotSB. With other words, they unable to deliver small DLC and taka double as much time to produce major DLC. So if there will be new DLC than it had twice as much time to be developed as LotSB did. So it will be a big bs if this "DLC" will not be at least twice as big as LotSB.

The only reason for such action, that I can see, is delivery of PS3 port. As many said it before bEAware wants cash, and best way to dig it is by letting gamers on all 3 platforms buy it (I agree with kidbd15 that if DLC will come out before PS3 release then PS3 gamers will **** about not getting it for free).

This whole idea with porting a game the way they do it is wrong. Not only they fail to keep their promise with DLC, but they also fail to deliver a third installment in normal time frame. We all know how it ends up when companies try to cover all platforms - they end up in bugs and delays. Same was/is with Dragon Age- it was/is huge pile of bugs, that they couldn't keep up fixing.

This PS3 port is a major let down and I'm sad that they do it (I know that no one here gives a crap about what I feel).

you're right, we don't, because you're selfish.
do you realise how much people made ME2? do you think that they owe you anything? do you think that the average fan is going to continue dishing out money almost a year after release for new dlc? no, they won't. you should be thankful that lotsb was so goddamn awesome, and that they even released it at all.

also, do you really think that the team at bioware has been working on dlc for over 4 months? no, they haven't.

for one, they are working on DA2. i'm sure you wanna play that based on your avatar, eh?
for two, they are getting me2 ready for ps3, so more people can play the game. that will lead to more money, which will lead to a higher budget for the finale.
and there is 3, the finale of mass effect. do you want it to be half assed? then shut up and let the team do what they are gonna do.

ME2 DLC will bridge ME2 with ME3, so far LotSB is the only DLC that helps further this because Liara will definitely play a role in helping Shepard in ME3 so obviously getting her into position as the new (SPOILER REDACTED) is very important in some way.

What will likely happen is that when ME2 is released on PS3 and the new ME3 marketing starts rolling out then we'll begin to see more ME2 DLC to help bridge ME2 with the final installment of the trilogy. The only people who won't benefit from the DLC at this point would be people coming into ME3 without having played the first two games and that statistic will likely be extremely low given the success of ME3's two predecessors.

It would be a shame for Kaidan and Ash to practically be left out of ME2 and not even get a DLC. Every other character has gotten some kind of mission (besides Wrex I guess), is it really too much to ask for the same treatment for Kaidan and Ash. Maybe I'm just really impatient, I guess all we can do is wait and see.

I don't expect any more DLC of any kind until ME2 hits PS3. Also, I expect we'll see only one more big story DLC prior to ME3. I hope I'm wrong, but I just have a feeling that we will get the DA treatment too.

Bioware We Have Been Patient So Could You Please Put Out Some DLC On Christmas As A Present To Your Fans. Especially since the release of that ME3 trailer has made everyone that much more anxious for some new Mass Effect stuff.

It'll come out when it comes out there's really no set time frame for DLC. They have said there will be more so we can expect it though likely as people have said in this thread not until the PS3 version is out so PS3 fans of the game have a chance to join in on release day of new DLC. So basically until next year we won't be seeing any new DLC especially none that bridge the story since it makes more sense to have a release for all platforms rather than to release it sooner than it needs to be.

Just be patient more is coming we know that. So sit tight and it'll arrive before you know it.

I'm getting DA Vibes after seeing the VGA reveal of ME3... With the PS3 port I don't think we will be getting any more DLC after all. At least nothing meaningful.

Oh, stop.  It's halfway through December already.  You'll live.

I'm confident our next DLC is scheduled to be released together with the PS3 version (similar to Zaeed and Normandy Crash Site with the PC and 360 versions), except it will be released on all platforms at once. At least, it would make sense.

Well not to be a Doomsayer, but either Ray or Greg said on a live interview that they are going to support DA:O with DLCs for more years to come, and boom, few weeks later, they announced Witch Hunt will be the last.

If they have some they would probably release it at the end of the month
Plus i've waited close to three months for any kind of dlc

Oh gee should Bioware write an apology letter for having the audacity to keep YOU from playing their DLC? God forbid they make you wait several months while they work on several projects.

I wouldn't say most of us are upset. We're pretty much the internet version of the old retired people sitting outside of the country store watching the cars and townspeople go by. One of them would have said "There's a new car, there. Don't look too impressive if you ask me." And the rest go "Ayup" and nod. Our version of this is "zomg, no DLC?" And everyone else goes, "nerp." And then we all nod and go back to muttering.

This happens again and again and again, until we get DLC.

Then it happens again and again and again, after we get DLC.

I think this DA:O dlc thing is a little played out.  Honestly, how can you release 2 years worth of DLC for a game that is made obsolete by its sequel in less than 1.5 years.  It came out in Nov. 2009 and the next one comes out Marchish 2011.  thats not even 2 years.  Bioware obviously got some pressure or perhaps they just got told that they need to focus on the next release.  They actually released a good amount of DLC for Dragon Age Origins, including an expansion pack(Awakening) , which is the same thing as DLC.  Look at other similar releases, Baldur's Gate 2 or Neverwinter Knights.  They got one or two meaningful expansions and that was it.  Keep in mind, just because they said they would release content over 2 years doesn't actually mean they didn't release everything they intended.  If they decided to release what was planned to be 2 years of content in a 6 month span thats their choice.

I doubt Bioware outright lied about DLC for Dragon Age and I seriously doubt they would lie about the Mass Effect 2 content.  Bioware is not a Machine like some franchises take UBIsoft or EA Sports, they release like 10 - 15  games  a year.  Bioware doesn't release a lot of games and ME is part of their core right now.  They'll treat it right.
