Hey guys, I've got a question about the Nug you can gift Leliana. As far as I've read you can buy it from vendor in dust town. I had a conversation with him and it went on about him being afraid of the sky but nothing about selling me a Nug. When I talk to him now the only option is saying "I have to go now". Did I pick the wrong dialog option in the first conversation or do I need to wait for some other event to hapen?

Have you spoken to the nug vender upstairs already with Leliana in your party?

That might be it, Orzammar is like the only quest area I did without Leliana in my party. I'll check it out.

Sheryl Chee said that you can get the Nug from the "Idle Dwarf" in Dust town while the Nug Wrangler is a different quest.

Ok I had Leliana in my party when I got the nug quest, the vendor was the very first person I talked to when I got there... When is she suppose to make that comment about how adorable they are so I can get that for her? I have literally been all over Orzammar with her n she never said it... I even talked to the Idle Dwarf in case I missed her saying it n I'm gettin nada

Have you tried talking with Leliana and asking her what she knows about the area while in Orzammar?

Once you get back to camp it's sitting right next to her. Surprised the Dog doesn't chase it around in a Cut Scene though.

That nug is huge though! How does Leliana carry it through Ozammar and the Deep Roads?

Probably in the same backpack where you can carry 80 suits of armor and 35 swords at once

I'm having the same trouble. Can't seem to get the gift nug. I thought I did everything here people suggested. Guess I'll try again unless I just missed my opportunity.

You mean you missed the scene where she puts a saddle on Dog, give the nug a little lance, and knights him Ser Smooples the Brave?

Yeah I missed it.  I didn't have Dog with me.  Leliana did try the same with Oghren, but it didn't go over too well with him.  All I have to say about that is, dead nug

i think to get that gift nug you need to have the quest and then turn in the quest with Leliana in your party and then she will say she likes those , i had problems getting it once but i was only able to trigger it after i gave a nug i picked up somewhere to the nug vendor

Ahh Xena - such a wonderful show.

As to the Nug - on all my run throughs Leliana has mentioned she finds Nugs adorable during the cutscenes that play when you right click on companions when they are in your active party.

First playthrough the cutscene played as soon as I'd finished speaking with the Nug rangler. Second playthrough I had to zone in and out of various areas in Orzammar before it played.

If it hasn't played for you, perhaps zoning a few times will trigger it?

on my previous playtroughs , i always got her to tell me how adorable those nugs are and that she would like to have one but on this one i did the same steps i did in my previous game and she wont tell that to me i have no idea why maybe on some occasions it bugs and she becomes broken?

I think you all are just messing with me personally, I usually have her in my group, and I have NEVER gotten her to say anything about it.

No-one's messing with you. Out of my three playthroughs she's mentioned it once, but I wasn't trying really hard to make her say anything about them either.

Unfortunately I can't remember when she made the remark either, but at some point she makes a comment about how adorable the nugs are, and once that has happened, the idle dwarf in dust town has an additional dialogue option about getting you a nug...

Maybe you have to talk to her in the area? I don't remember, but I often talk to her since she knows some stories about the places you visit.

i tryed everywhere in orzammar and she still wont trigger it in this game , i grabbed a few nugs before turning them in and all the time she was with me ,turned them in went to see the nug catcher and what not and she wont say she wants one

I think you have to have somewhat high standing with her for her to mention it. It should trigger just by talking to her while in orzammar. I had always assumed it was triggered just by having her present, but the other characters special stuff also trigger based on standing so why not this one.
