A new mission for about six hours of play time.
So where is this "exclusive" word ? <_<

Exclusive 6 hour gameplay content for a platform that doesn't even have a Mass Effect fanbase anyway? I call shenanigans!

This thread is hilarious. Seems like a whole bunch of people need to take a midol and go lay down.

My thoughts exactly.

Did some math. 80 Bioware/Microsoft points = $1.00 (USD).
Lair of the Shadow Broker (800pts) + Overlord (560pts) + Kasumi: Stolen Memory (560pts) = 1920pts. That's $24.00 of free content.
Add Cerberus Network, which some people had to purchase (1200pts), and we're up to $39.00.
Now let's assume that this "new 6-hour mission" is indeed true, and will eventually be made available to XBox and PC players as well. We'll say it, like LotSB, costs 800pts.
Grand Total: $44.00 of free content for a $59.95 game. They are getting 42% of this stuff for free, while the rest of us could have paid up to $103.95.
So yeah, totally not fair.
Also, I just realized that I spent over 80 bucks on one frickin' game. Add to that the N7 hoodie, plus ME1 and DAO... Yep. Bioware has artfully made me their b!tch.

this 6 hour dlc might be the november release.
i was ranting to one of my friends about there not being an october release and he said that he has a friend who has a friend that works with bioware who says that they intentionally didn't release an october release so they can focus resources on the next DLC which is something BIG

We really don't know what is going on. Not officially anyway .Some clarification from bioware would be nice.

Why? Because we don't want to be ripped off?

Just wanna say, there is no mass
effect 1 for PS3. That is 30+ hours of content exclusive to every
platform except ps3. Six hours isn't really a big deal, and it's
probably designed to compensate for a lack of ME1 on PS3.

Will never happen. This is Bioware we're talking about.

I got to play ME1, they didn't. I also got to play ME2 a full year before they will get to. I paid for all ME2 DLC and enjoyed them all. I don't feel like I have been ripped off.
I wouldn't be surprised whatsoever if the PS3 versions comes with all DLC right ouf the box. That is usually the case when different editions of a game get released later on, like GOTY editions and whatever.
As for exclusive content, who cares? PS3 players don't get ME1, an entire game. They should get something. Of course I have a PS3 and plan on getting the PS3 version as well so I am a little biased here I guess.

Probably just an unannounced DLC that will come out for all platforms when the ps3 version is released, except they get it free (and theres a small possibility pc/360 will get the content a week or month later). No big deal, certainly not a reason to get your panties in a bunch (may be too late for "some" people). Even if it isn't, we all know when a company says "6 hours of gameplay," it really means "2 hours, maybe 3 if you dick around and look at everything for an inordinate amount of time including cutscenes and every dialogue option possible."
Seems people are forgetting Bioware and Microsoft are companys and companys exist solely to produce profit. Excluding a majority of the existing fanbase would severely hurt profit, and no company wants that. And considering 360+PC has more me2 customers than the ps3 version alone will ever have (especially considering me2 isnt really "new" anymore and there's tons of upcoming blockbuster releases soon, which drastically increases competition, they'd be going against the number one rule in business: Make as much money as possible off as many people as possible.
We'll get whatever they're talking about, there's absolutely no doubt in my mind about that, even if its slightly later than the ps3. Calm down, guys.

So, according to the german BioWare boards (new infos from Casey Hudson) the PS3 version contains an interactive comic with background infos and decisions and also Overlord, Kasumi and Shadow Broker DLCs as well as Cerberus Network access.
They also mention a new 6 hour mission, but no further details on that.

The interactive comic is the only thing exclusive the PS3 port will get. I'm surprised some ppl here really believe the upcoming 6 hour DLC will be PS3 exclusive...
