Phalanx: Fairly powerful; laser sight semi-interesting
Mattock: Monstrous DPS; very accurate; hardly any recoil
Geth Plasma Shotgun: good range; awesome damage; charging up is very satisfying
Mantis: good damage and accuracy; a nice prologue to the Widow
Grenade Launcher: good damage; accurate
Missile Launcher: less damage than the grenade launcher; targeting system oftnavoids target to hit minor infantry
Arc Projector: great croud control, synthetics, and shields; weak against mantis gunships(armor+ non-synthetic=bad damage)

Claymore: Huge damage and awesome feeling when you use it, i don't care if its slow.
Widow: Incredible accuracy and damage.
Vindicator: Unmatched accuracy if you have assault rifle accuracy upgrade, Mattock is just too powerful when used in adrenaline rush.
Carnifex: Good accuracy and damage, i don't like the phalanx laser sight.
Cain: Big explosions.
Locust: next to no recoil and decent damage.
Widow: Incredible accuracy and damage.

Claymore: The most powerful shotgun. Unfortunately few enemies are worthy of its awesomeness - a bit of an overkill.
Revenant: Capable of making almost all enemies squeal like a little Quarian girl with a tummy ache.
Mattock: Probably the most overpowered gun. The only thing that is stopping this gun from totally ruining the game's balance is its ammo count.
Avenger: The only purpose of this gun is to magnify the awesomeness of the Revenant for soldier class.
