Doesn't anora punish the elves for uprising during a food shortage?
Besides you would be the one ruling while he takes all the heat for your decisions.
anora wouldn't give up that much power

So here's a legit question - as I understand it, a female warden in a romance with Alistair can't do a US if she takes him to fight Archie - doesn't that ****** off people who wanted to do a US?

You want to do the US, leave him at the gate. Since you hate him, I don't imagine he is either alive at this point or you have Loghain in your party its kind of a moot point.

Cmess' IRS mod includes an option which is incorporated from a mod TMP made that adds a small scene where you get to see PC (or Alistair) holding the dead AD Killer and has an option to punch Alistair out so you can do the US.

So even unmodded, you can still do the US, just can't have him in your party at that point.

Actually she can. You leave him at the gate instead of taking him with you when you fight the archdemon. I think though you have to have a high persuade, but I've done it before.  There is a wonderful mod that lets you push him out of the way and take the US.

Actually, I can't stand the thought of letting Loghain live, so Ali doesn't leave because of that.



I just tend not to use him.



And yes, I know you can leave him at the gate, or mod the game - but I mean the vanilla version, where you take him with you. I assume the mod came about - and is used - because that annoys people.

You can in the vanilla game. I do remember doing it before I even knew there were mods for it.

well now don't you think its kind of silly to hate a character because they respond the way the game has programmed them. Since you hate him I doubt you have him romanced so its not a problem for you. And others who have taken him with them either did it unknowing (and still loved the ending that a guy would die for you, even if he broke up with you) or knowingly did it to get the ending, or leave him at the gate (No persuade is necessary. I did it on one of my Queen Cousland runs. Needless to say she wasn't queen.)

That's the first time he is so determined and firm about something actually meaningful.

Anora could be held accountable for not doing whatever Alistair did to prevent the food shortage (likely her efforts were focused more on turning Ferelden from a backwater nation to a more educated and powerful country than on Alistair's keeping people happy strategy) but I can't blame her for cracking down on them after they had an uprising. Awakening shows you what happens if you give in to the mobs. They're happy for five minutes and then the next time they're not happy they do the exact same thing again and you cannot run a country that way.

That sounds a lot like 'don't you think its kind of silly to hate someone for doing something that they did?' Alistair responds in the way he is programmed because he is a fictional character. Everything he is programmed to do makes up what is in-character for him and something that he has done. Why is it silly to hate a character for something that they did? Do YOU think that it's silly for you to hate Loghain for responding the way the game has programmed him?

Spending 5$ on a crappy DLC just to see a fictional character die is as concerning.
