I sporadically get that message when trying to read the ME2 campaigns or characters forum. It works for hours, then, bam! and I can't read anything between one moment and the next, getting that message instead of the thread list or a thread I have called up. Some unspecified time later - between one and ten minutes - things are functional again. Anything I can do about that? Does anyone know the reason?

AFAIK, no one with responsibility for site design has ever admitted why the invalid error message appears, however, if you keep on refreshing the window, it eventually performs the correct action, taking 5-7 tries on average, but a few times 15 or 16 also.

Lots of people have the problem, but yes, no one from the forum administration side of things has acknowledged it or explained why it might occur. I don't even bother with refreshing, just wait a minute for the issue to pass.

Right now, 3:30 PM, CDT (although instead of requiring a minimum of a half dozen refreshes to finally do what it was supposed to the first time, it only needed two just now).

I just got the error right now, 9:45 pm CST. They usually don't last more than a minute for me, though.

I've had it a few times over the last few days, and have had one or two this morning, it is frustrating (I think I mentioned it on KAST when it first happened that it wouldn't let me post...)

I get this "You requested an invalid category or you do not have permission to view this forum." pretty often. Not sure why it comes, but I notice that often web-page has hard time to load all stuff. It seem to try to connect "na.llnet.bioware.cdn.ea.com" long time. So, If I close browser, come back and wait this sites web-page to be fully loaded I don't get this error. It's like it's trying to identify the person from some outside database.

That is our CDN server which we use for the images and larger files so won't be related to this problem. Thanks for letting us know it is still occurring; I guess that means it is for plan B. :)

I got it again multible times. Also I seem to get it often after editing my own posts, when I press submit. When I get it, I often see other areas fine, but this forum area where the message did come will then keep showing this message.

Yeah, I was just getting this message, and it only pertained to one section of the forums. Like I'll be cut off from access to the Off Topic Forum, but I could go to the ME General Discussion thread just fine.

I've tried to circumvent this by alternating what I click. Ffor example: I want to go into the ME2 spoiler forum, clicking on the main forum directory doesn't work, but clicking on a latest post in a thread on that forum usually works. Of course, it's a damn hassle.

Does it affect badly to you web-page, if I block with firewall the CDN server?
I tryed and it seem to speed up the web-page use. I mean if it just have big images, I can live without them just fine.

PS: Got the error again, when posting new message to existing thread.

I've been getting it sporadically. Haven't kept a log of when, unfortunately.

I suspect the page is getting temporarily overwhelmed or something similar. If I go away and come back a few minutes, twenty minutes, etc. later it generally starts working normally.

I've been getting this repeatedly in the last 15 minutes (2010-11-23, 19:32 GMT+1).

Anyone, DO SOMETHING!

this happens quite often, but only for a short time.

usually when i click on "last post" of a thread. but nothing serious so far, at least for me.
