:D That's what I did!

Hawke's inventory works exactly the same as Origins, straight from the Laidlaw's mouth.

Very basically on inventory:

Hawke's inventory is more or less identical to Origins.

Companions's inventory is ME2'd.

Edit: 'd, gosh darn you fast typists! *shakes fist*

So...we can't put pants on Isabela.

Aw, shucks. I absolutely loathe that system.
I have responded with a fairly positive attitude towards almost everything that has been announced about the game up to this point...
... This feels like a kick in the groin as a "thank you" present.
:(
Let's hope for some positive news in the future.

D:

I am disappoint. Isabela's outfit isn't changeable?

*sighs* I hope this doesn't end up like ME2 where I force myself to take the same part of 2 people because everyone else just makes me facepalm with their "armor".

The question I now have is if Hawke gets his own unique talent tree like the followers do?

Oh for the love of jesus.. ME2 inventory <.<; (For companions) Uch. Not my kind of thing. Going to war with skimpy outfits on girls dosnt work for me. I just go "God girl you're going to get killed!"

I really don't get the thought process they go through, sometimes.

"We've noticed that DAO followers were perhaps THE feature of the game. So for DA2 we've decided to make drastic changes to how they function".

Well that's a little bummery.  I liked being able to choose my own look and colors.  Still minor point.  I like that the companions will have their own unique looks too.

Hm...from the screencaps, we meet Isabela as early as level three.

Also, the red streak blood thing is permanently on Hawke's face.

We can upgrade character armors specifically.

Yeah and nvm the fact that ME2s companions were openly mocked for wearing their unique "armor" in hazardous and combat conditions. =]

If I've got it right, nope. But we can put shiney runes on top of her boots ^_^

So there is some companion customisation, plus the unique talent trees. Probably not as much as Origins allowed however.

Well the good outweighs the bad I guess. The only thing I dont like about ME2'ing the companion inventory is that it kind of takes away from some of the cool ways we saw them progress. For example seeing, Alistair's progression from his splint mail early on to him in some of the better templar armor or Cailan's set towards the end of the game. I feel like if they wanted to make each character unique, they could have limited them to a certain type of armor. For example Isabella can only equip light armor.

Oh well, its hardly the worst outcome.

I wasn't a big fan of the lack of custimazition as far as party members until I saw the screen shots, as long as I can still play around with stats and builds I don't really care what they look like I guess.

there may yet be pants for isabela, remember that they said that you can have multiple outfits for the same character.

Its probably a financial decision. Less resources put into different armors PLUS the fact that they can sell alternate armors for companions later on as DLC.
