Well I won't say you are wrong, I would say that you are stating opinion like it should be fact.

I'm arguing with CoS Sarah Jinstar.  If I qualified all of my opinions they would just seem weakly stated by comparison.

I have no idea why you feel this way. I'm glad Bioware is among the few to still make party based rpg's.

And about DA2 and ME2. I was just remembering how many professional reviewers were dismissive of DA after ME2 came out. They said it was too retro, non progressive; they lamented the silent pc and how awkward it 'looked' One in particular called ME2 the more polished and confident game. I hadn't payed DA yet at the time and I basically agreed with them from what I saw of it.

The result is that DA may never gain its own identity, it may never be free from ME2's shadow, which is a shame because now that I have played DA, I think those reviewers were full of sh*t. Now I feel that DA is a very different game, a more involving and epic game.

Lets face it,  ME2 has a broader appeal. It's less of a niche title. The popular reviews were always going to favor it more than DA. All this may have had an impact on DA2's design.

What question was that?

From a previous quote that refuses to work BBCode-wise:

Close of business? Didn't know EA or Bioware was shutting down production in two days...
[Ugh... I made myself sick with that joke....]

LOL = Lots of love? Wow, this thread is specifically lacking in that at the moment... I see the spaghetti dripping down the walls right now. [MAJOR POINTS if you get the reference.] Speaking of COB, what's Sarah's CoS stand for?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I still didn't technically get the COB thing from earlier. Doing midterms took away common market-knowledge from me. And I had a feeling you might post in this thread, so I was meaning to ask you about your acronym. You should see my knowledge of those! UGH! I'd fail that test minute 1 of taking it!:pinched:

Because it is. And I'm also glad BioWare makes party based games.

We're not talking about one static look, either, but I suppose for some the fact that you can't simply put any armor on your followers makes the difference semantic.

Mr.Laidlaw did actually go on record in one of today's threads that if there's visual changes to outfits of the companions we can acquire as the game goes on, then these are pretty much an exception and the visuals for the most part do not change. So please don't blame the readers for simply taking the information they were given by the proverbial horse itself.

So which is it? Apparently the devs themselves don't even know. ;)

So if I am looking at this correctly, it seems to look more like this:

All of your companion characters have different skill sets, not like ME where the characters all uses the same pool of sets only mix, and nothing like having a skill build like DA:O. They all use a unique skills set just as Hawke uses a different if some what skill set. So with this said, removing/ limiting the customization of your companions clothing, not only gave you a distinct personality, but you gotten more options with combat now.

Where you could build your companions to what you want, instead you have to deal with different companions with pros and cons. Not to mention the fact that they can either leave during the story or join you during it means that you have to deal with an ever changing environment. Which means that you can be dealing with parties one wouldn't normally use, and have to tailor to the changes.

In this case, removing one element actually gave you more, as you now have to change tactics on the fly at any moment in the game, to tailor to the strengths of the party. Now I do not do Pen and Paper role play (or true role play as some calls it), but this would actually be the closest to dealing with other people who uses different skills, and instead of them dictating what they do, you are the one who is like the defacto leader, spilling out strategies to beat an obstacle. In this case it actually follows the "Think like a general. Fight like a spartan." in this case. Or just be a big chess game.

Hmmm.... Good opinionated use of irony, yet with a very dry british accent... Obvious use of skeptical predictions is a great plus, but the laughing at the end put you down a few points.

My score: No Greg Giraldo or George Carlin, but you do have the makings of a quality Lyle 'Chip' Chipperson. Take that however you please.^_^

No.

Isabela has the rogue skill set *and* the swashbuckler specialization. It's just like ME.

Yes it won game of the year, wow. Why? Because Tali fans probably voted their hearts out. There are lots of games out there that outsold ME.
