Let's everyone take a couple of calming breaths and dial down the napalm sandwich deliveries, please. We can disagree with each other without resorting to sensationalist hyperbole. And we can certain disagree with each other without going off-topic or delving into the contentious and sensitive issue of gender politics.
Steer it back to Dragon Age 2. Please.

Yeah. Let's avoid going down the 'female characters shouldn't be as strong/male characters shouldn't be as dexterous' road. That way lies only madness.

I really wonder what female Bioware employees think of all this. I mean, the devs tend to avoid these topics like the plague but still. I'm curious.
I'm more likely to be offended by female characters' personalities falling into certain stereotypes.
I don't have a problem with how female characters generally appear in videogames. Large chest, small waist? Sure. Doesn't bother me. It doesn't bother me either if I have a warrior in a plate thong jumping around killing demons. Goodness knows I have actually gone to great lengths to acquire such equipment (in certain games) after discovering that it exists, because I like the idea of killing demons in plate thongs.
As long as the appearance fits the character's personality, I'm okay with it. For instance, if they put Aveline in a wispy dress cut low to her navel, and high heels, I would make this face:
But the first time I saw Isabela's concept/model, I said, "*gigglesnort* Cool."

You're in the wrong party. The shouting was going on about 4 pages back. The only thing getting flung here now is some rather awkward humor...cancerbaby wrote...
I think we all need to go watch some Mean Girls and come back when we've calmed the **** down.
Really, I'm just advocating for people to watch more Mean Girls.
It was an excellent movie.
Err. I mean.. should've had more Clint Eastwood! And Bruce Willis!
I enjoy Westerns!

My beef is more with characters like Female Hawke and her mom also having ginormous breasts, and the fact that DA did not seem like a plate thong kinda game to me. Though I will admit to sometimes enjoying slaying things in plate thongs and/or painted-on catsuity things. >_>
Honestly, I cannot tell what size Lady Hawke's breasts are. I tend to play her during testing and she is always covered to the neck with huge layers of armor and padding. She could be a double A, or a triple G for all I know. Okay, maybe not that last one.

i'm sad that we can't please everyone all the time with this game. i mean, judging from the reactions some folks have, it's got to be possible, right?

Hawke borrowed it from Isaac Clarke:
The writers have theorized that's where Hawke's nose-mark comes from, that he bangs his face on it when he sneezes.

Thoughts?
it looks MUCH better than the first picture. She seems healthier, still very attractive
and certainly more believable. I wish BW took your route instead of following
what other games are doing to the female characters’ models.
Just to drop in here, I find it interesting that no one ever stops to wonder if, perhaps, Varric were prone to exaggerating more than just facts about Hawke...
I suppose time will tell, but there might be a few surprises in store for the keen of eye.
