Also, because I have recurring nightmares on these things: Bears (A fear has been growing over the years. I know what they can do, and *up north, where I camp* they're around constantly. I've had one sort of "charge" *it growled and motioned forward in a jerky motion* before, and since then I'm just done with it. Never again *this was years ago*)
Also: zombies, raptors, or zombie raptors. I always have nightmares about these two things. Constantly. And those dreams usually end in my death. (It's weird, I switch to some weird 3rd person view and watch myself die ... my brain is weird). It's this feeling of being hunted that's so terrifying. (The last one I had were zombie raptors. It made no sense, so when I woke up I was more confused than the usual freaking out.)
Nightmares are the best horror movies you'll ever get.
And of course my family or friends getting hurt. That's one of the scariest things to experience (if not the most, is for me anyway). (Had nightmares about that too, as others probably have I expect).

First and foremost: Heights. I can't deal with it. 5 ft. off the ground feels like 15 to me ... I get all shaky and feel sick. Ugh, I hate it.

Bears scare me too, but I still hike in places they don't frequent. Hell, I've been in places they do frequent.
Another scare I had was when I was hiking alone on an overcast day and I caught sight of something halfway up a tree, lithe and deep in the shadows. I fumbled at my pack to retrieve my binoculars, as it was only about 60 feet away and I really needed to know what it was. Then I envisioned two great big yellow cat eyes looking back at me and I figured it was best to keep moving. Maybe it wasn't a mountain lion but it scared the hell out of me.

Moving; hate to pack and clean, then clean and unpack. Not really a fear, but it really upsets my life, as it becomes all but impossible to locate things.
Evil supermodels; they are SO clingy and needy, and hate to eat.... *bazinga*

Heights and driving on ice; both come from same incident.

As for my fear.. Can't say I really have one, or at least not one I can think of. As of late, I've developed a fear of stupid people because it seems they are taking over the world in a zombie-like, idiot-based apocalypse.. You should always fear stupid people in large numbers lol.

And are we talking physical sources alone, or also getting into the heady ontological stuff?

Seeing a lot of people with a fear of heights in here. Weird. Guess it just seems strange to me because I love flying. Want to get my pilot's license so bad, but can't afford it..

Flying is different, at least for me. I have been up several times, but the ground below bacomes abstract like a quilt. Fear of heights is more like when I peer downward from a 9 story building, and imagine my glasses begin to tumble and fall. I even became a bit uneasy at the Ostagar bridge during DAO the first couple of times.

Also, leeches. Not as scary as spiders, but if one ever lodged into me and started to suck my blood, I don't know what I'd do.
