That's the old challenge suggested from David "Magus" Scott, but improved with a Doom rule, because it's not hard without it.
Here are the rules:
Solo: Only use one character (your main) for the entire duration of the game.
Insane: Set the game difficulty to "Insane" (the maximum) for the entire duration of the game.
Poverty: Don't pick up or use any items, equipment, or money.
Doom: You can't use the spells Shapechange (lv9), Chain Contingency (lv9), Simulacrum (lv8), Project Image (lv7).
Naturally, there are a couple concessions that need to be made to the Poverty restriction in order to play through the game. These concessions are as follow:
-You may pick up, hold, and wield a plain unenchanted quarterstaff in order to defeat the mephit generators in Irenicus' dungeon.
-You may pick up, hold, and use plot/quest items for their plot/quest purposes.
-You may collect and retain money (up to 15,000 gp) for the sole purpose of collecting the funds to finish Chapter 2.
Character choice: Sorcerer.
Other classes need equipment in form of weapons or spell scrolls.
Try it, it's pretty fun, you shouldn't have any problems in SoA. In ToB there are a few more interesting battles, especially the last one.

Sounds like this Sorcerer would be a follower of Illmater. Could you also do this as a Monk?

No way, their fists aren't good enough. For SoA you could try with cleric or shapeshifter, but I can't say if it's possible. It's going to be boring as hell anyway. For ToB you can forget about anything other than a sorcerer.

Huh? Don't fists eventually hit at +4, 1D20?

Sounds more like torture than fun...

The spells you restricted beyond PI and simmy seems rather random... Also solo with monk is definatly doable...
