I believe it was David Gaider who compared Cassandra to a refrigerator, or some other mechanical device that emits cold during the Pax Q&A sessions. Being dutiful and business-like does not equate evil. When I look at Cassandra's design I am reminded of an ambitious corporate climber who works hard, carries herself with pride, has an air of sophistication, and rarely comes across as amiable in polite conversation.



Flemeth shares more in common with Maleficent, down to the horns motif, dragon shapeshifting, and scheming.

I agree... but don't think I suggested that.

Just add a sprinkle of 'evil's to the above, and I'll agree.

I did not mean to imply you did suggest that. Nothing about her screams evil to me. I did consider Loghain evil. Based on our extremely limited information and my own instincts, I find it hard to see Cassandra as higher than middle management. I get the feeling she will be another Ser Cauthrien, albeit with an expanded role. If she is evil, she would need to be a vital antagonist to the story being told, and not just part of a narrating duo. So far I'm not feeling it.

Eh, maybe.  I tend to think of the Seinfeld episode "The Beard" when it comes to gay-straight "conversion."

That's not necessarily in conflict with what I mean.  I just don't view them as being "options" in that way, which is what I thought the poster I was responding to was implying. 

Anyway... I'm not going to claim it's the most enlightened or well thought out perspective.  It's just the one I've got at the moment.

So far the only impression I have of Cassandra is that she appears tough, forceful and possibly ill-tempered. I wouldn't cast her as being "evil" quite yet based on looks alone, but I acknowledge that she shares (at least in the concept art) features with some notable female villains. However, the fact that she works directly for the Chantry is something that has me more wary of her than her looks - but that's probably because I have two mage Wardens, hehe.

Note to self: stuffed pandas with tiaras are cute - buy one!

Awesome, I should try that sometime. I just need to add another exceedingly cute panda to my stuffed animal collection first (my two existing pandas are sacrosanct, and no hot-glue guns are allowed near them - hehe).

Is it me or do her eyes look yellow in those screenshots, shes not is she.

Eyes can be gold in reality (really bright brown), having a yellow shade under certain lightings. Don't see why that can't be the case in Dragon Age either.

Having said that, gold eyes are hawt.

Also, I just re-watched the trailer. Her armor does not have boob-mountains...go figure...
