Hello, I have purchased the Italian Collectors' Edition of ME2 and i just wanted to know if there is a simple and correct way to change speech language (i don't mind if also subtitles laguage is changed). I would also like to know if there is sauch a method also for ME1.

Don't know if this works for the italian version, but it worked for the german one.
1.)Go to Mass Effect 2 -> Data.
2.)Make a backup of your sku.ini
3.)Open the sku.ini and look for
[SKU]
SKU=
VOLanguage=xxx
TextLanguage=xxx
Try changing the xxx (should be ITA or something, not sure) to INT. Oh and if I remember correctly you have to change both.

If it doesn't work or screw up your game just revert to your backup.

As for ME1 I have no clue.

The European version of ME1 should come with one English disc and an extra disc with European languages. In ME2 to IT to INT fix should work except for subtitles.

dont forget to change your installation language as well.

change entry language in the following registry key from "it" (or whatever you have there) to "en"

32bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\BioWare\\Mass Effect 2

64bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Wow6432Node\\BioWare\\Mass Effect 2

after you change from "it" to "en" save&quit. it'd be also good to reboot your pc

I didn't quiet understand what changes this modification should make. Will it change the lagnuage of the game or just the one of the installation process

It will change the language of installation process, so every dlc should work in english without any mods.

Aw, but i already installed DLCs, so what have I to do? Change language for the game AND every DLC with the same method?

hmm, you dont have to do this

but upcoming dlc's will detect your game as english

2 days ago i wanted to play the game again after a year , from the beginning ME1 to ME2 , but i have a problem changing the language , i remember that when i did it some time ago ,, it worked .

Right now i changed in the Regedit and in the SKU file , from pl to it and from POL to INT , but all i see is numbers when it should say "press any key" or when it should say New game and so on , but i only see $23451 and so on for the others.

any help will be appreciated

i can say that he changed the Launcher language but other no

4 hours later , i just rebooted my PC and i see it's fine.
