The interactive comic is only douchey if it remains exclusive to the PS3. However the wording in the OP is INITIAL release so it should come out on PC and 360 too.

A mildly stupid proposal considering PC and XB360 owners like myself have a WHOLE GAME to play and enjoy. To release the interactive comic on the PC/360 formats would be a giant waste of time and money that would be better used in say making future DLC, or better yet, used to make ME3 and even better experience. All this hoopla over PS3 content is just ridiculous. That sort of thing happens all the time when games jump to another platform. GET OVER IT! I did. I'm a 360 owner and I'm not wining about it. Jeez. Stupid people galore.

Except sometimes you don't want to go through a WHOLE GAME just to get the background you want. This comic format should have been available with ME2 right off the bat considering the franchise is all about making choices and seeing the consequences. And it is a piece of unique content, just because we can buy ME1 on 360 and PC doesn't mean we should miss out on any unique content when our support for Bioware is what allows them to make the comic in the first place.

Now PC/360 users are complaining about not getting the comic because they're too lazy to play through the first game or use the gibb? That's a whole new level of fail.

Or the fact that its a unique piece of content that we want to experience.

You know what it is? 25 pages of "adults" moaning about having to share their toys. This thread is so jam packed with butthurt and tardpost it's mindblowing.

I agree with Skilled Seeker.  I'd like this content to be made available to PC/360 users.  I loved ME1, but I can't go back and play it, it's just not as fun gameplay wise compared to ME2... and the time it would take to do all that just to have a different background... ehhh.  So having the interactive comic to set-up a new ME2 game for us is, for me, very welcomed and wanted.

Makes it better.

No fool. Instead of insulting us mindlessly read our points. I'm GLAD that PS3 owners can experience ME2 and the fantastic DLC. I'm not happy about anything exclusive to any platform.

Except Houston's post implies that the comic won't be exclusive forever.

So you are wailing and gnashing your teeth about nothing.

I know, I've made that point myself to reassure others.

I was responding to CARL who was saying its a stupid proposal for the comic to come out on PC and 360 because we have ME1.

What is your post exactly? All you do is insult everyone that has posted in this thread. You're telling me you've read every single post? Get off your high horse and I think you're the one that needs to grow up if all you do is post nonsense insults. What an amazing contribution.

Yes, I have read every single post. What I said is a fair summary of this thread. If you back throughout it, I've posted many times arguing for both sides. So can your pissy attitude and grow up.

Again with the grow up. All I said was it wouldn't be right for the interactive comic to remain exclusive to PS3 and this is your response. Am I the scapegoat for your insecurities?

I'm not addressing your post. Don't think the comic should stay on the PS3? I don't care if it does or not. I've got the whole first game. Do I think exclusives suck? Yes.
To end this little discussion, I find it funny that you should mention my insecurities when clearly your ego took a hit when I stated this thread is full BS. That right there, says you need to grow up.

You directed your post at me because I was the one who posted just before you about the comic and you then call me lazy for wanting it on other platforms.

And seriously shut up with your petty insults, it just makes you look stupid.

summarizing:

xbox/pc get ME2 for $20 with optional $24 DLC, and ps3 is $60 with forced DLC = obvious crucifixion of xbox/pc owners.

xbox/pc gets ME1, but ps3 doesn't = Fair!

ps3 gets cheap comic version, but xbox/pc doesn't = Buthurt unfair!

Being stuck with the bad choices is the penalty for not playing through ME1, it doesn't benefit Bioware if they let you skip ME1. PS3 owners will have no other option, so the comic is the best way to amend this.

The people arguing over pricing and on disc DLC are idiots, ignore them.

No one is saying PS3 shouldn't get ME1, infact people want it to happen as they fear otherwise the choices made in ME1 might have little impact on ME3. However due to publishing rights Microsoft holds exclusivity over ME1. This sucks but there is nothing we can do about it. In the end ME1 is a different game. Punishing PC/360 players by not providing the comic helps no one. There should be as little exclusivity as possible.

There are only so many times one has the will to rerun ME1. Without an easier option many of the conseqences Bioware worked hard to make will not be experienced by most people.

Not providing the comic to xbox/pc players hurts no one, as they already have ME1. There is already exclusivity, and PS3 didn't start it.

The are only so many times anyone NEEDS to rerun ME1: as often or less as you need to run through ME2. With an easier option much of material from ME1 Bioware worked hard to make will not be experienced by xbox/pc owners who would prefer to ignore the first game.
I understand you might be reluctant to play through ME1, I personally preffer the second part myself. But as this is a very well tied together and complicated trilogy, skipping the first part is more like skipping the first hour of a movie.

I would be happier (and I'm assuming Bioware would be too) if the comic was done away with altogether and ps3 owners could get ME1 like everyone else.

So let me get this straight, you're arguing against the OPTION of the comic? Why?
