Two wrongs don't make a right, there is absolutely no need for the comic to remain exclusive to the PS3.
We're getting the game a year later than 360 owners.
We're *not* getting ME1.
Quit your whining, jesus.

Tell you what, I will quit whining when you do eh ? The thing is I don't want PS3 owners to miss out on Mass Effect 1. I think it is wrong that they should miss out on Mass Effect 1 because of some crappy deal that Bioware made with MS. However here we have PS3 users actually WANTING to deny PC/360 users content just because they miss out on ME 1 and they want PC/360 users to "suffer" just to get even.

Anyway, I'm excited for ME2 coming to PS3. I've been waiting for quite a bit for this series to come to the PS3. I really wanted to play this series ever since the first ME came out. Hearing reviews and watching behind the scenes videos about the future of this franchise made me excited to see this to the end. Now I get the chance to play this game. The lack of ME is a little disheartening but the interactive comic will help. Better than nothing.
Two more months to go and counting.

Oh yes they areeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
Hm feel as if I have walked into a pantomime. There have been several posts by people in here that want PC/360 users denied content for no reason other than "just because". Let me quote what one of the users said on the last page :-

having a timed exclusive comic book
would be just the reason for many playstation owners to feel a sort of
parity between the two systems.
So according to comicfan22 Playstation owners need to feel some sort of parity, they didn't get the first game and they had to wait a year for the second game so naturally PC/360 users should "suffer" something then.
It is quite ridiculous really, PS3 owners are getting one hell of a deal. They are getting an introductory comic which whilst not as "extensive" as owning Mass Effect 1 is certainly an interesting approach to bringing people up to speed and in many ways has advantages over owning Mass Effect 1. It is also interesting to note that the comic is FREE whereas Mass Effect 1 costs money, I notice no one factored that into their equations. They are also getting hours of content that PC/360 users have had to pay for and just to make things extra nice they will get content that whilst technically "not exclusive" is actually quite difficult for PC/360 users to get hold off (pre-order stuff like the Black Hole Heavy Weapon).
Yet despite all this that still isn't enough ohhhhhh no it isn't enough till they have seen PC/360 users "suffer". That seems to be the mentality I am seeing on here from some PS3 users.

Would that not make you feel sort of special that Bioware went to the trouble just to attract you to buy a year old game? Yes, you get the dlc for free but that, too has been, for the most part, out for a while. You have to come at it from that stand point.

Now PC/360 users are complaining about not getting the comic because they're too lazy to play through the first game or use the gibb. That's a whole new level fail.
You got the first game. PS3 owners don't.
The idea that you're complaining because you don't get this is ridiculous.

Well if that's what you "see" then you're obviously blind. I have no idea why you're whining about this when you've *ALREADY GOT THE FIRST GAME*.
Why would you want an inferior version of it?
Fine - you convince MS to let Bioware release ME1 on PS3, and you can have the comic. That way everyone's happy.

Yes, I feel your pain. I mean, I did play one of the best Sci-fi RPG's ever made on a PC. And man, the pain and the agony. Untold suffering as I spent over 30 hours into the game and loved every second of it. Maybe I'm just into the S&M-stuff? Oh, and after I had finished ME1, I rushed to gamestop to buy the ME2. And the horrible suffering happened again!
Oh, and this all happened over 6 months ago. And depending on the comic, I may cause some more suffering upon myself (and to you) by buying the PS3-version.

If you need people to be "deprived" of content you are having to feel "special" then sorry but that is just damn childish. I don't like using insulting terms but I cannot think of any other term for that kind of thinking. PS3 owners know what it is like to miss Mass Effect content, the mature attitude is to go "well no one should miss any content, now whilst we can't have ME1 it doesn't mean that PC/360 users should be punished for that". Obviously
the mature approach seems to beyond some PS3 users.
You should feel special because you are getting a fantastic game, a fantastic deal and you get to play the game on your PREFERRED platform. That should be more than enough for you to be punching the air with joy, but
no it isn't enough till the nasty PC/360 user loses out on content is it [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/whistling.png[/smilie]

Firstly I am still "whining" because you are still "whining". I draw your attention again to comicfan22's posts yet again where he makes it clear that he wants content not available to PC/360 users so he can feel "special". As far as I can tell the PS3 is not getting the "inferior" version of Mass Effect 2 unless you can show me where it has been stated that Mass Effect 2 will be grossly inferior. You are getting the same game as PC/360 users along with all the content that has cost PC/360 users a pretty packet and to boot they are throwing in content that is not easy to get if you are a PC/360 owner.
Now sure you are not getting ME 1 and I agree that is incredibly unfair if I could actually do something about that I would. I don't believe people should be excluded from third party games or any content relating to that game. However like I said "two wrongs do not make a right". Just because you are not getting ME 1 does not mean it is equally "fair" that PC/360 users should miss out on Mass Effect content and the comic is Mass Effect content that some people on the PC/360 would find useful.
But no apparently it is entirely justified to with hold content from PC/360 users because PS3 users will have vengence in this life or the next [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/whistling.png[/smilie]

Oh well if you wanna take that route then surely if it is such a massive loss that PS3 users can't play Mass Effect 1 on the PS3 then surely they should consider getting the PC version after all the PC version is about 10 bucks and you don't exactly need a mega fantastic PC to play the game any Dual core with a mid range sub $100 graphics card will easily play Mass Effect 1 at console quality.
Actually come to think of it I was always under the impression PS3 users had already played the entire Mass Effect series. I have lost count of the number of times I have seen PS3 users go "ha ha the xbox has no exclusives I played the superior version of Mass Effect 2 on my PC".

The fact is the situation with Mass Effect cannot be "equalised". Yes it is wrong that PS3 fans will not get to play Mass Effect 1 on their preferred platform but it is equally wrong to with hold content from PC/360 users just to give PS3 users a sense of "parity". As I said "two wrongs do not make a right".
Bioware should be aiming to service ALL their fans be they on the PC, PS3 or 360 you don't service all your fans by with holding content from 2 large proportions just to make 1 portion of your fanbase feel "special". You say you are behaving "neutrally" I don't see anything neutral about your posts they are decidedly PS3 biased in that PS3 users deserve special treatment at the expense of the existing fanbase. That is as far from neutral as you can get

The comic isn't inferior. Its different which is enough reason to want to experience it and most importantly its a hell of a lot quicker than having to run ME1 to make a few changes to your background.Lard wrote...

Wow, listen to the 360 fanboys whine and cry. "It's not fair that PS3 is getting exclusive content." Life's not fair. Get over it. I think every console should have exclusives. It promotes competition and in the long run better products for the consumer. If it weren't for exclusive games and content the 360 wouldn't even exist. Also, the PS3 version of ME2 will be far superior to the 360 version. Have a nice day.

Please explain how it promotes competition, and more importantly how that's a good thing.
Also, please substantiate your last sentence.

It's like xbox/pc owners have perfectly good lungs, yet they're complaining because they want lung cancer just like ps3 owners, but the ps3 owner's options were lung cancer or no lungs at all.
