I remember how back when it was first announced, everybody was whailing on the fact that because there would be no ME1 for the PS3 that they would cut down on the relevance of what happened in ME1 in ME3 to cater to PS3 players... well the comic kinda sorted that out didn't it ? :police:

In the same line of thought, I haven't seen anyone mention that because the PS3 version will include the DLC on the disk(minus CN) that the things from those DLCs(A lot of people were worried that Kasumi would be glossed over ME3) will now be more relevant in ME3... probably :bandit:

Most of you are so quick to nitpick little things and blowing them out of proportion, only focusing on the negative, taking your own, sometimes paranoid, speculation as fact while completely shutting down any positive elements... reminds me of why I stopped hanging around here so shortly after signing up and just keep myself content with playing the games BW makes.

Anywho, great to finally hear some new stuff, I was a bit on the fence at first(Dead Wrex D': ) but the comic and the confirmed DLC will make me a Day 1 buyer =]

The comic is more of a necessary evil, because PS3 owners will have no other option.

It's like xbox/pc owners have perfectly good lungs, yet they're complaining because they want lung cancer just like ps3 owners, but the ps3 owner's options were lung cancer or no lungs at all.

Absolutely ridiculous comparision. Saying the comic is lung cancer is saying the comic has a negative effect on the game which it does not. Having the comic doesn't ruin ME1.

Its more like PC/360 owners get a fatty cake which they must eat if they want to go out and play. PS3 owners only need to eat a small cereal bar before being let out to play. Sure the cake might be more enjoyable the first time but after a while you will get fat from having to eat all that cake. And they both taste different i.e different experiences and PC/360 owners would like to taste the cereal bar too.

But you can make your own cereal bar with a program called Gibbed

True but it doesn't taste nearly as good and requires work from you to cook it.

I wouldn't bother attempting to reason with this crowd. No matter what you say, they will just be blind to the fact that PC users(Like myself) and Xbox 360 users are ahead in this game with both ME1 and ME2. They want the comic book at the same time PS3 owners and are unwilling to see that 1 comic=/= 1 full game.

I don't know why people are complaining that they have to play through ME1 to play ME2. I happen to LOVE playing/replaying ME1. I love the voice acting, landscapes and falling in love with characters such as Wrex,Kaiden and Ashley. Dealing with the consequences on Virmire and feeling pity for characters such as Saren.

I somehow doubt that can be recreated with a comic book and it is truly a shame that PS3 owners will never be able to experience. It seems PC and 360 owners have forgotten just how lucky they have it. I've said all I can say. Enjoy the rants.:(

Why is it so evil to want the comic book???? Not one of you can give a good reason, you just keep repeating the same rhetoric about having ME1 which in the end of the day is a seperate game and costs money to buy.

Because not everyone can just spare 15 - 20 hours to replay Mass Effect (like myself) and some people think ME1 feels dated after having played ME2 and can't stand playing it. Why don't people understand this? Or am I missing the point?

It's no big deal to me if it doesn't happen, but it would be cool. Heck, I might just buy the PS3 version just to get access to that comic book and better graphics. But then again, that's just a big waste of money.

Because you have the full version of what the comic is - Mass Effect 1!!  Why do you keep crying to get less when you have everything the PS3 users will get and more!

It's absolutely ridiculous!  And the argument that you keep putting out, "I have to replay through a whole game just to make new decisions." is even more ridiculous!  That "whole game" is what everyone wants, what PS3 users would have preferred to have gotten as well as ME2, but what they won't get!  You argument that ME1 being a whole, long game being a negative point (a 'con' if you prefer) and why you feel entitled to a comic résumé of it is really what I can't understand.  How can having an entire game that PS3 users will never get (unless they have Xbox360/PC as well) be a negative point?

I mean seriously, what is the interactive comic?  It's an abridged ME1!  And ME1, you have it/have access to it!  What the heck do you keep putting out such outlandish reasons as to why you feel Bioware is being unfair with you?  Not only that, but Xbox360/PC users will be getting it at a later date!

Sheesh, some people really just want to complain and whine!   It's just like socialism.  Everyone wants everyone to be exactly the same, but since that's never going to happen, everyone spends their life angry and bitter.  What country are you from?  Sure as heck doesn't seem to be the US.

And to Da_Lion_Man: Bioware has stated that only the "initial" release will be exclusive to the PS3, meaning it is heavily implied Xbox360/PC users will be getting it after the PS3 users.  You just have to be patient.  PS3 owners didn't get ME1 and will have waited a full year for ME2, so I'm sure you can be reasonable and accept having to wait a few months before it becomes available to the Xbox360/PC after the PS3 release.

Sure I can wait a few months. But some confirmation from the developers would be nice. Again, it doesn't matter too much to me.

I don't feel Bioware is being unfair. Because they will release the comic on PC/360 as you can tell. I'm defending Bioware's decision from people that don't want Bioware to release the comic for which there can be no logical explanation except jealousy. You still did not answer my question of why YOU are actively against Bioware releasing the comic on PC/360. Again ME1 is not an excuse. You are against the comic coming to PC/360 like it will be a bad thing. We don't want less we want more. ME1 won't disappear if we get the comic.

The negative point is making a background for ME2. I don't have time to replay ME1 just to make a few changes and I don't enjoy playing it much because the gameplay is horribly dated and the pace is too slow.

LOL at the rest of your post.

Healthy lungs are favorable compared to cancered lungs, right? Cancered lungs are favorable to no lungs at all, right? I don't feel my comparison was wrong.
On a different note, I don't think it would be so bad if xbox/pc owners got the comic if it required that they have a completed ME1 save file on the same account.

For me, I think Bioware are trying to just get everyone on a level playing field before ME3 is announced. I have no problem with the PS3 version getting DLC bundled with the game. I have ME2 on x360 and have purchased all the DLC as soon as it was available, I believe I got my money's worth. ME2 will be a year old by the time the PS3 version will be available and most games that do well and have a ton of DLC released get a GOTY edition after about 12 months, so for me this is no different.

In regards to the interactive comic I can see how it is necessary for the PS3 version for those that have not played ME1 and are just getting into ME for the first time. Being as it has been said that the comic will be initially exclusive to the PS3, I don't see why that feature would not be coming to the x360 and PC versions as well. As long as it is released for the x360 and PC and is available for FREE as it is with the PS3 version, I have no problems there, even if it's delivered a bit later.

I think it's silly to suggest that x360 and PC users get some kind of free and exclusive content in lieu of the PS3 version getting the current DLC on the game disk. I can buy ME2 brand new on x360 for $15 AUD, plus say $20 for the DLC released so far, that is much cheaper than the odd $99 that PS3 users will have to pay day on one. I imagine this thread would look very different if PS3 users had to pay full price for the game plus fork additional $$ for all the DLC as well.

Everything needs to be the same for all platforms. I have no issues with what has been announced so far, as long as once the PS3 version is released and everyone is up to date, that anything, DLC or ME3 wise, released from then on is the same for all platforms.

YOU HAVE THE BLOODY GAME. YOU DO NOT NEED THE COMIC.

Never in my life have I seen someone argue that they should receive an inferior product of something they already have.

No, it's not sorted out, because we're not getting the game. And it won't *be* sorted out until the first game is released on PS3.

Maybe inferior in your eyes. Except they are made for different purposes, the comic isn't trying to be a game. Its also much much quicker to complete. Again I see the comic as a DIFFERENT expressive form of media and hence I'm glad BIoware will release it on PC/360 down the line as I'm certain I'll replay the comic more times than the first game.

My comparision makes more sense. You were saying PC/360 owners had healthy lungs but wanted cancer implying they'd gimp themselves by getting the comic and ME1 would disappear. This is not the case, we would have access to both ME1 and the comic.

You're right. I take it back. Under no condition should any xbox/pc owner feel entitled to this apologetic comic made for ps3 users.

Hmm, is a brawl going on?... Anyways, just wanted to comment on the Dark Horse interactive intro BioWare is shipping with ME2 for the PS3. I think it's a brilliant idea.

Being an X360 gamer, ME1 and 2 being my favorite game series ever, ever, I think that this comic-book styled intro will allow PS3 gamers to really get a good insight into the story and enjoy ME2 as they should. I'm actually a little bit jealous because I predict this will be a really cool visual experience, that I won't be enjoying. Having said that, I think that the rest of us can feel some comfort in knowing that, hey, we "where there" when we made those decisions, on who lives and dies, and who you romance. And I'm pleased with that.

So, really, welcome aboard PS3 folks, and lets enjoy the greatest sci-fi saga of the 21st century, shall we?
