So why don't we all just stop talking about this. The other side just has "platform exclusives sucks and I'm too damn lazy" as an argument and my side has the fact that we can't get it through your heads that a comic that is "not that significant and isn't something you're going to miss'. Since neither side is going to win I merely suggest to agree to disagree and stop the whining on both sides.

This.

This circular argumenent is geting tiresome.

lol when I told you guys to stop many posts back I get ignored.

it may suck for you even more but take into account you've played ME1 before so the story experience you've already experienced and while you disliked the gameplay you have the advantage that they won't have you were immersed with the ME series.

So don't just say which svcks more some people would be willing to make a compromise about the gameplay just to be able to fully immerse themselves in the ME universe.

well i brought mass effect 2 first
then got 1 i got liara and gave up ive always played the defualt story

Okay now here's the kicker you still have and will always have the opportunity to truly experience the story. They don't.

true but we wont experiance the comic

Which you already experienced - by playing the first game.

So you hate exclusives but you're willing to compromise if it benefits you. Great logic.

No we didn't. The comic is a different media. A brick would be more responsive than you Lard.

Well we could probably convince him to do it if we tried but right now it only makes sense for him to go for the comic because it's the immediate topic.

Make a thread asking BioWare to port ME1 to the PS platform, and send me a PM to let me know about it.  I will commit, here and now, to posting in support of that.

The agreement between BioWare and Microsoft meant that Mass Effect could not be released on Sony's platform.  that agreement will expire, or already has.  If there is demand for Mass Effect 1 on the PS3, and BioWare can make a profit from the port, then I'm sure they would be interested.  Your challenge is to show them that the customer interest is there.

Does the Play Station network offer games for purchase via download?  It is not likely that EA would be stamping it onto disks at this point.

Everyone knew that Mass Effect 2 would eventually come to the PS3.I remember that Bioware said in 2008 that Mass Effect 2 will be an Xbox/PC exclusive at launch and that in the future they will most likely launch it on other platforms. Why are people so angry and bitter? There is no exclusive content on the PS3(Bioware said that the comic will first be released on the PS3 and that is all they said).I remember telling people that the PS3 version will have no 6 hour exclusive content but no one would listen. Why do people on this forum always assume the worst?

Never mind the personal attacks.

Is it the same story? Apparently - according to Bioware.
Is it less than the full experience? Yes.
Is it something you have already experienced in greater depth and detail on 360? Yes.
Do you need this? No.

Ahhhh so your personal collection is important enough to shaft PS3 owners.

Honestly the fact that the Ps3 is getting any exclusive content (whether it be the comic or the recon-operations pack) is a swift kick in the **** to the already-established fanbase on the 360 and PC. I understand Bioware wants to market their product. But to openly deny content to long-time fans because of some deal with Sony is a stomach-wrenching decision. Now it seems no matter what platform you play it on; PC, 360, or Ps3 you'll never get the full game.

Also it's upsetting because Sony Fanboys will soon be storming every funny mass effect 2 video on youtube and ruining how much fun the comments were with their statements that somehow the Ps3 version (or the Ps3 in general knowing them) is ultimately superior when it will have nothing to do with the funny vid like "AH YES REAPERS" or "Assuming direct control".

I don't mind the already-released DLC being part of the ME2 Ps3 package, that's fine by me cause you could buy a 360 copy of ME2 now an buy all of the DLC for around $60. But the exclusive content to the Ps3 is honestly sickening. I swear if the Ps3 gets some exclusive missions DLC then I'm pitching ME2 out the window.

I'd let this whole debacle finish before I make any thread about ME1 to PS3 though. I have a strong feeling that whatever argument I would make would have most of its points directed on how this comic thing is handled.

Whether or not it's exclusive (which it isn't as already stated).

My oh my all this argument for a comic. Funny when you think about it really.

This is like talking to a hammer.

360 owners have the first game.
They have played the first game.
PS3 owners will *not* get to play the first game.
A comic is not an equivalent.
360 owners do not need it.

Its not about knowing the story. Its about experiencing it in comic form. For example I watched Monsters Inc the movie. That didn't stop me from buying the novel. The novel is based on the movie and is a 'less than full experience' as you say. But its a different media and reading Monsters Inc is enjoyable in its own way. Same with the comic in this case.

PS3 owners wont get shafted if the comic comes out on PC/360. It doesn't make any difference to them. Only a jealous sadistic mentally challenged person would want to punish us for something that is out of our control.

And you started with the insults pages ago.

Okay tell me why is it needed over why is it wanted?

I see how it is "needed" for PS3 owners they don't get to experience ME1 or make major choices without it.

A novel and a movie both contain the same "amount" of content - that is contain the same story.

A video game and a comic are not comparable - apples and oranges. Completely different.
