I have read the novelizations of all six STAR WARS movies.  I enjoyed them.  Reading the story was different than watching the movies.  Didn't need to read them... wanted to.

Well durasteel I demand that you never see the movies then, how dare you see the movies when I haven't read the books.  Only those that haven't read the books should see the movie

Right to defend yourselves? Seriously?

The comic only exists because of the PS3.

And we could have got another chunky DLC were it not for Bioware choosing to port the game to PS3. We got 'shafted' because of that.

See I can hit low blows too.

I can't believe GAMERS are supporting exclusivity in this thread. Exclusives benefit no one but MS, Sony and Nintendo. Gamers are the ones that suffer because of exclusives. Get a grip people.

Exclusives create competition, what would be the point of choosing a console over the other if all the games are the same ? Exclusives also allow for smaller teams to fully commit to making the best experience they can using the advantages of a said platform, instead of splitting the team and resources to create different versions of a game and making sure they run the same, focusing just on one platform allows the opportunity for a better optimization, console exclusives have been driving the market for a long time and this mentatility of ALL EXCLUSIVES ARE BAD is really backwards, the most I would agree is that 3rd party titles should be multiplatform but even then there are multiple factors to consider.

Not necessarily. Depends on if BW themselves are doing the port.

Not to mention you do realize different teams work on porting and DLC right? ;)

So...no your blow wasn't low at all just wildly off course.

Most of the team is probably working on ME3 at this point anyways.

You don't seem to be able to tell the difference between a fanboy, and a person who just hates Sony fanboys. I'd like a Ps3 myself and put it alongside my 360, but it's called a budget.

The comic is a ****** poor attempt to make up for missing ME1. An experience YOU ALREADY ENJOYED THAT THE PS3 OWNERS DIDN'T.

This isn't an army, and it's not a government. It's not about "loyalty".

Companies are there to convince me to spend my money on their products.

And I don't want a console that breaks down after 2 weeks.

And here we go with the sony fanboy trash talking the 360. Will they ever get their heads out of Sony's Coporate *****?

You think this is a head in Sony's Corporate *****? Go to N4G you'll love it there.

Sony fanboys are everywhere, enough said.

Yeah I miss the older days when it was Xbox fanboys who ruled N4G they were equally as annoying but some were fun to debate against. And the great war of N4G took place where the biggest Bots led by BIoodmask (that's with a capital i mind you) fought with the Droids led by Nasim (who is now banned and you type his name it auto censors, dude was crazy).

The only reason the comic is being released in the first place is because the PS3 can't get ME1.

The PS3 not having ME1 is the reason that the comic is being developed and included with the PS3 version of ME2.  That has nothing whatsoever to do with releasing the comic for the other two platforms, once the thing has already been created.

Fighter jet targeting systems led to the development of the computer mouse.  Fighter jets have nothing to do with using a Hello Kitty mousepad.

NO WE DIDNT ENJOY A COMIC. AND PS3 USERS WILL STILL GET IT TOO. GIVING IT TO US AS WELL DOESNT AFFECT THEM IN THE SLIGHTEST. YOUR ARGUMENT IS BASELESS AND MOOT.

It is a DIFFERENT way to experience the Mass Effect story, I thought you were a Mass Effect fan ?  why would you be objecting to having another way of experiencing the Mass Effect story  ?

My analogy is perfectly fine, people have stated that the comic is a lesser experience than the game.  Well people often say movies based on books are a lesser experience as well.  So when I read a book and they make a movie out of that book why do I go to see the movie ?  oh that's right because it is another way to experience something I enjoyed.  So yes my analogy does fit, the comic is a different way to experience the Mass Effect story, I enjoyed the Mass Effect game so I would quite like to enjoy viewing the story via the comic book.

However apparently I shouldn't be allowed to do that because PS3 users cannot play ME 1 .

Now you know damn well that has nothing to do with anything. <_<

Sure I have no problem with them releasing it. But it wouldn't be an oblegation just something nice BW decided to do. It also should be a timed exclusive.

No you shouldn't because you can get something they can never get by playing the game.

Movies and books are not comparable the way a comic and a video game are. Books aren't interactive for one thing.

Honestly though all this crying about a inferior comic is ridculous. If you feel so strongly about exclusives you should be demanding ME1 be released for ME2...oh wait...that doesn't affect you so you don't care right? <_<

Anyways it should be a timed exclusive. For at least a year. Just for the epic fanboy rage .

So now we get down to the real reasons why PC/360 users shouldn't have access to the comic.  It is down to being petty,  PS3 users can't have the full game so PC/360 users must suffer in some way no matter how small.  That is what it looks like to me.

Nor does giving us the comic have anything to do with PS3 users not getting ME1. The anology given is exactly the same as your stupid argument.

It will be a timed exclusive to stroke the ego of PS3 fanboys.

No, we enjoyed the first game.  Now, we want to enjoy the comic.  They are not the same.  The stories will be very similar, the art style will be very different.  The sound palette and voice-overs are anyone's guess.

Assuming you are someone interesting, imagine for a moment that someone made a video game about an event in your life.  The main character is based on you.  Maybe you're Tony Hawk, I don't know.  Would you refuse to play the game because you had already enjoyed those events by living your life?

THE ONLY REASON YOU'D EVEN GET SAID COMIC WAS BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF MASS EFFECT 1 ON THE PS3.

IT IS NOT NEEDED FOR THE ME EXPERIECE.

IT DOES AFFECT THEM BECAUSE THEY END UP HAVING LESS CHOICES THAN YOU.

IT ALSO GIVES THEM LESS REASON TO PURCHASE THE GAME AT A 60 DOLLAR PRICE TAG.

And demading to get the comic because you can't be bothered to play through ME1 isn't petty?

Demanding to get it because you're a BW fan and screw the fact that PS3 only gets it because of the lack of ME1 isn't petty?

Demanding to get it at the same tim isn't petty?

So what it comes down to, is it's okay for PS3 owners to miss out, but not 360 owners.
