My point, however, was valid.  Not having ME1 on the PS3 is a reason to make the comic, but not at all a reason to refuse to sell the comic to PC and 360 players.

The comic is being made because the PS3 isn't getting the first game.
360 owners have the first game.
Now there is parity.
Except you want things to be unbalanced, just to satisfy your ego and rub it in PS3 owner's faces.

No, we enjoyed the first game.  Now, we want to enjoy the comic.  They are not the same.  The stories will be very similar, the art style will be very different.  The sound palette and voice-overs are anyone's guess.

Well you can say we missed out on virtually every final fantasy game and Metal Gear Solid 4. Your point?

This is not about points or whatever. IMO nowadays my impression is such as 360 looks like a bad choice for gaming, while all the hot stuff is on PS3 and PC. But that's also irrelevant here. This ME2 exclusive content thing is all about selling a port of 1 year old game to customers who likely played it already or didn't want to buy it such as it was. And even if you target only on those who play only on PS3, aka it's their favorite platform of choice, you have to motivate them to buy it when there're all those exclusives around and games with exclusive content are coming. Take Ninja Gaiden 2. It took  a graphics upgrade, exclusive game mode AND exclusive characters to actually sell it well as a late port on PS3.

The "I told you so." will be glorious.

And I have little doubt ME2 on the PS3 won't be all that great sales wise, between no advertising, no exclusive content, and being a sequel without the first game? Pfft.

Tell me do you actually like Mass Effect ?  because I find it odd that someone that gets so much enjoyment out of a series is actually hoping it will fail.  I want the comic to be a fantastic experience for PS3 users and I want the comic experience to be available to all ME fans.  You just seem to want anyone that enjoys Mass Effect to suffer.

I actually hate the direction the series took in 2 to be honest. Between the ressurection stupidity, Cerberus and the no s/s romances other than titltion for preteens I'm getting tired of it. I loved the first game but the second one left a bad taste in my mouth.

Edit: Oh reading the wole thing.

No I don't want to fail. But realistically sales will be poor. There is no way around that.

What exclusive armor and weapons? Isn't that just going to be the preordered DLC?

I don't think he wants it to fail he's just being realistic about the sales. If the sales are ****** poor then it adds weight to the fact that the whole "no exclusive" deal was something that could have prevented it and enticed some gamers into the game.

He does not want ME to fail he wants to prove a point.

Weapons and Armor are not really at the same level as that of an entore story with a lot of dialogue to immerse themselves in.

No I don't. Hell I have a PS3 and won't get this until it's <20 dollars. It's just not worth it.

...Is something a new JRPG coming out over the same time? And most of the people in Japan that would've gotten it I see as already having it for Xbox. (For once the xbox sale's were semi decent over there!) I don't see them spending (and games are more expensive over there no?) full price for something they know isn't a full experince.
