No you are just speculating as to what that stuff will be. I read it, and as far as I can infer it'll be stuff that we already have access to. How do you know the Recon pack isn't just a combo of the weapon and armor packs out on the existing versions? Oh right because the forums speculated on the contents of the Recon Operations pack so you clearly know what it contains.

You are the one that asked me to speculate in the first place by asking what other exclusive content has been promised to PS3 users.  Do I know what that content is ?  no I don't but I do know that Jesse has stated PS3 users will get exclusive content which is the main issue here.  They are not just getting an exclusive comic they are getting other exclusive content as Jesse stated in his post.

There will also be some DLC Bundles, such as the Aegis Pack as well as exclusive both Free and Paid DLC for all PlayStation 3 owners such as the Recon Operations Pack.
Edit: While I can't go into details all of this content is or was available to Xbox/PC Owners but otherwise wouldn't be available to PS3 owners
More details about this will be released later. ;)

I want also to touch on the '6 hour exclusive mission'.  This I believe is a communication error lost in translation.  When we talk about 6 hours of content we are talking about what's included exclusively "On Disc" (Kasumi, Shadow Broker, Overlord), The Interactive Back Story and the Cerberus Network Access.

Edit: Considering YOU evne quoted the above makes me seriously want to facedesk right now.

What exclusive content CharmingCharlie....

Did you actually bother to read all of Jesse's post? *points to the Edit Jesse made early on after his initial posting*

ALL of that 'exclusive' content is stuff PC/360 owners have or had access to. People have already speculated that the 'Recon Operations Pack' is going to be the Dr Pepper stuff, seeing as there is the 'Recon Hood', one thing to point out, he even states in that post that not all of it is going to be free, some of it PS3 owners will have to pay for. Not only that but due to that comment, the way he writes it is as if it won't be on the disc or in the initial pack but will most likely be available via the PSN, much akin to how PC/360 owners got it.

So am finding it hard to see where your getting this idea from.

Another funny fact, in that price comparison I did, I actually listed the Aegis Pack and the Recon Pack in the list of DLC.

Edit2: Whatever is in the RECON PACK you already had chance to get.

You say the DP stuff was only available to US. Funny, am in the UK and I managed to get my hands on some codes for my PC version. There were loads of people on the forums offering to help people outside the UK with them. So don't try to come out with that line because it ain't true.

Aegis Pack is still on the DLC page that is how I got the price for it in the price comparison. If you'll note he says some of the bundles are paid for some free. I think the main reason Jesse labelled them as Exclusive is because they probably haven't been listed in a 'bundle' before (apart from the aforementioned Aegis which is)

Hi everyone,

I'll be honest, I haven't been following this thread but I did have a couple of questions: Does anyone know how encompassing the interactive comic will be to import some of the ME1 decisions to ME2?

Also, is it possible for Bioware to convert our ME1 PC savegames to PS3 savegames so we could get every decision we wanted imported to ME2? Is that possible at all or am I just dreaming?

And lastly: will the PS3 version have ALL the DLC as I've been hearing or is just a rumour?

Thanks in advance.

This. Don't want to read 55 pages to find answer to one question. In payment, I answer one question:

Yes, it has all the DLC, up to this point, except perhaps, the Dr. Pepper stuff. Not sure about that.

I don't think any real details have been released about the comic aside from it being dome by dark horse so I don't think anyone knows the length or content. Hopefully it will not miss out any major decisions.

Indeed, no real details as yet, even the stuff Jesse has posted in the original post, he has stated it is subject to change so somethings might be added/removed from what he has listed already.

Not all the DLC is going to be in the pack I don't think, just some of the major ones (the ones which are quest related and also the Blood Dragon Armor, maybe a few others). The rest by the sounds of it, will be on the PSN either free or we'll have to pay for them. I imagine the ones that have to be bought won't be too costly, the only real costly ones for the PC/360 were the ones with missions/squadmates, which we're getting with the PS3 version unless something changes (GAME advertisement shows the current boxart for PS3 highlighting the DLCs) in next month.

As for the comic, I would imagine it is going to at least cover the choices which show up on the 'Import' page when you imported a PC/360 ME Shep. I would imagine there are possibly some other choices we'll get to make but can't see some of the 'side stuff' getting a mention due to it being off the beaten track of the main story. I might be wrong, but I'd rather go with the idea of expecting the minimal amount, that way lessening the chance of disappointment and improving the chance of being delighted by anything I consider 'extra' added.

I suppose I am one of the few on here who enjoys both consoles, so none of this bothers me a bit. However, I am wondering if the new exclusive DLC to be offered, would add anything to the story to warrant a PS3 version purchase.

As has been said, I don't think there is anything 'exclusive' to the PS3 version other than the comic. The other 'exclusive' stuff is just 'exclusive' because it is getting bundled up for the first time in DLC packages. All of the bundles are items that the PC/360 players have had access to (or still do) if what Jesse has said is true.

So to some extent I guess it depends if you got everything beforehand or not, other than possibly gearing your Squad differently, I think most people would say the items don't offer much else story wise.

If you've got all the mission based DLC, I don't think the PS3 version is going to really alter with them other than maybe if a certain choice isn't in the comic, which case it could affect LotSB but only from that particular choices PoV and nothing related really to the PS3.

The comic as has been said is initially exclusive, so it might end up on PC/360, though it basically is following the story of ME. So unless you hadn't got ME, then some could say it isn't worth looking at, personally I think it is, but it depends if you want to personally go through the comic or not just to see how it plays/reads out and like I said, it might end up on the PC/360 so its a case of whether you buy the PS3 version for the price it is, or wait to see what price the comic is for the PC/360 if/when it becomes available.

Me too :P well apart from LotSB bu tmy PC was dead when that came out, so another reason for me getting PS3 version is to finally play that :D like I said it depends on what you consider as adding more to your ME enjoyment ;)

@Chmarr, I've just looked for topics relating to Dr Pepper and seen no mention of people having issues in the UK. I know they worked fine on the PC in the UK because I had/have the Recon Hood and Umbra Visor. Whilst you make the claim about it being US only, there were/are places you can get codes from, I think some people on the boards still offer to help where needed.

I have already invested over $150 in the Xbox version. I will not be getting the PS3 version. However, I DO want to be able to create new characters in ME2 just for the sake pursuing different LIs and plot decisions, without being stuck with the default Wrex/Council decisions. I'd like to change other things as well, such as the Rachni and the Asari Commando you meet when confronting the Thorian. There are so many things that I'd like to decide without having to play through ME1 first.

tl;dr
I don't like the plot decisions Bioware went with for new characters in ME2. I want the comic on the 360.

The Dr Pepper promotion was a promotion carried out primarily for the American market.  Now whilst you and others may have helped a few people on here get access to the content it doesn't change the fact that the rest of the planet and vast majority of gamers that bought Mass Effect 2 and do not visit this board will not have had access to that content.

Hell you even had to give a fake American address to get the content what does that tell you ?  It tells me that if you have to put in an American address then it is a promotion aimed at just the American market or am I being old fashioned ?   Just because you could pull a few tricks and con the system so you could get the content does not mean that content should be classed as "available to all".

But now this content is just going to be handed to PS3 users on a plate and PC/360 users be damned it seems unless they tricked the system to get that content by using fake details.

So I've paid for collector's edition and all dlc, totaling to OVER $100 and now PS3 get's it all for for about $40 off.

I've been a dedicated fan since ME1 and now i feel sincerely betrayed. I loved the exclusivity of ME only being available on the 360 and PC, so the announcement of a PS3 version really caught me off-guard, but I accepted that they are getting the content a year later and that they wouldn't have access to ME1.

Now this DLC for PS3 has enraged me.

I've always looked up to Bioware and thought very highly of them as a company that really cares about the players. The changes from ME to ME2 were a great example of taking fan input seriously.

On that note, 360 and PC player's alike have betrayed. Us dedicated fans have supported ME from it's birth and now it seems that Bioware is sending a message of "You guys aren't enough for us. We want more."

Please, show some love for 360 & PC fans.

Speak for yourself, Lulzatron, I bought a 360 for the sole purpose of playing Mass Effect, and I don't feel the least bit betrayed or ripped off. Sorry?

And right now you can buy all the content on 360 at $50 off that price.

Read the last three pages of the thread, everything you said has been said before, your argument doesn't work.

This point has been made here five billion times, but the ComplainSquad flat-out refuses to acknowledge it. It's a betrayal, EA is destroying Bioware, Chris Priestly did 9/11, etc.

Sigh.

I think its great the franchise is coming to PS3. Gives a lot of other people a chance to appreciate the masterpiece that is Mass Effect. It also means more revenue for our favorite developer. That's always a good thing. We all stand to benefit from this.

It's not that people are mad that PS3 can play ME2 now as well, most of my friends are on PS3 and I'm glad they will be able to get this game this time next month. What is annoying though is that to Xbox and PC users they feel a bit tossed aside by Bioware because they want to open up to a new market, these people have been dedicated fans to the franchise, spending a LOT of money on all the dlc that they released for it and now PS3 users can get that all with the game for it's standard price AS WELL as exclusive content that Xbox and PC users won't get.

Content Xbox and PC users may not get

There is nothing confirming the fact that the 'exclusive content' will stay exclusive for more than a month or two. The initially exclusive comic sounds a hell of a lot like they already plan for a wider release. The other content packs are from promotions which have ended if I'm correct (pre-order, Dr. pepper etc) as a rule promotional content is eventually released a few months after the promotion (Have a look to see how many games have released their pre-order content for purchase, you will see a lot in games out for over a year)

So right now I don't see anything that it looks like they won't get, just some stuff they may have to wait a bit for.

A little wait never hurt anyone;)

Well, I got into the whole Mass Effect series several months after ME2 was released so I never got a chance to get one of the weapons that was available to those who pre-ordered so I can confirm that some promo items are not available after launch.
