So I've paid for collector's edition and all dlc, totaling to OVER $100 and now PS3 get's it all for for about $40 off.

I've
been a dedicated fan since ME1 and now i feel sincerely betrayed. I
loved the exclusivity of ME only being available on the 360 and PC, so
the announcement of a PS3 version really caught me off-guard, but I
accepted that they are getting the content a year later and that they
wouldn't have access to ME1.

Now this DLC for PS3 has enraged me.

I've
always looked up to Bioware and thought very highly of them as a
company that really cares about the players. The changes from ME to ME2
were a great example of taking fan input seriously.

On that note,
360 and PC player's alike have betrayed. Us dedicated fans have
supported ME from it's birth and now it seems that Bioware is sending a
message of "You guys aren't enough for us. We want more."

Please, show some love for 360 & PC fans.

So...you're mad that other people can share in the experience?

It's
not that people are mad that PS3 can play ME2 now as well, most of my
friends are on PS3 and I'm glad they will be able to get this game this
time next month. What is annoying though is that to Xbox and PC users
they feel a bit tossed aside by Bioware because they want to open up to a
new market, these people have been dedicated fans to the franchise,
spending a LOT of money on all the dlc that they released for it and now
PS3 users can get that all with the game for it's standard price AS
WELL as exclusive content that Xbox and PC users won't get.

This is where you're wrong; they are paying full price for the DLC. If you went out and bought Mass Effect 2 for PC or xbox 360 right now, you would find that the regular version is about $15 and the Collector's Edition about $30. The PS3 version will be a full $60. It has been confirmed that PS3 version will come with LOTSB, Overlord, and Kasumi, so add $21 tro $15 to get $36. Factor in the comic and the Blood DRagon armor and let's generously value the total to be worth $45 dollars. PS3 users will be paying an additional $15 dollars to the current price of the game ADDED TO the price of all the DLC on the disc.

Could you please show me where Bioware confirmed that PC/xbox users wouldn't have access to the Interactive Comic?

So no possibility of our ME PC savegames being able to be converted to PS3 savegames? Come on Bioware, there must be a way! Pretty please? :)

Then I'm sure the save editor utility will be made to work with it in time.

The thing is though, it would have to take into account only the 'choices' that can be made in the comic. Because I doubt Bioware is going to set it up so the choices that the PC/360 players could make in ME that aren't in the comic will have any effect in ME2 ie. players getting to see something related to that choice.

I could be wrong, but I can't see them doing it. Granted the Gibbed Save Editor could possibly be an indication of what choices maybe available in the comic and thus making it possible to import the PC files. Then it all just comes down to a question of time spent going through that procedure in comparison to running through the comic.

I know with my current PC being dead, the prospect of being able to take my save files from the HD (if they aren't corrupted) and importing them into a PS3 playthrough definitly does intrigue me, but then again if the comic does have such choices, I'd probably just settle for doing speed reads through that if I really needed to.

Several german "game" sites say, that there will be more ME 2 DLCs in the future. So it seems, that ME2 on the PS3 won´t get "the whole experience" on the disc.

Not all the DLC is being included on disc anyway, the only DLC being included on disk is Kasumi, Overlord and Shadow Broker.  The rest of the DLC such as Normandy, Firewalker, Zaeed and the interactive comic will have to be downloaded via the Cerberus network.  This is EA's attempt to fight the used game market.

HATERS GONNA HATE!

I can't believe there are still people b****ing about the PlayStation 3 version. Let it go!
Start looking forward, go to the Mass Effect 3 thread and chat about the new chapter coming next year!

ya, but the thing is I'm kind of a completionist, or whatever you call it. I'm the kind of guy who scanned every planet in ME2 till it was depleted :o:mellow: I know. So I really want to carry everything that you could do in ME1 to ME2, like the surveying quests or the Prothean Data Discs and the Lost Medallions, even if they are useless for ME2...:?

Well as was said earlier on, am sure someone will find a way.

1 week till demo and 5 weeks till game will be out :D

Wonder if there will be more info about the comic before launch. I'm intrigued as to what it's going to look like.

Hmm a interactive ME 1 comic is actually a neat idea, if one can use it to get the gist of the story, make some choices and have a save created for importing into ME 2.

Right ... but I thought of DLC where you have to pay for.

The only other DLC that had to be paid for that isn't coming with the disc is the armor/weapon bundles such as Firepower, Aegis and Equaliser, that is most likely going to be on the PSN on release date (or before in the case of europe because PSN updates before release date over here). The PS3 is also getting DLC bundles which will be of gear that was either in pre-order, CE or Dr Pepper (that isn't in one of the other bundles we already have, like the Inferno Armor and incisor rifle are). Some of these are going to be free, some paid for.

So, PS3 players will get 'The Whole Experience' of ME2 just like PC/360 players could. Does that make it clearer?

I only have one question, will it be one single disc or two discs like the 360 version. I'm still getting the game for the PS3 as well, but not having the disc swapping thing would be awesome.

Is it really 1080p on 360, or compatible 1080p? I got the 360 version plus a 40"1080p Bravia and the game looks good but 1080p? I know it's diferent games but to me MGS4 and GT5 are sharpest in visuals, ME series are strong but in other areas in my opinion...  I like the game for it's story.
On a side note, maybe I should check my 360 video settings.

Just a pet peeve of mine. Memory is RAM. Storage is hard drive space.
