It mostly has to do with not being able to buy both consoles, so people have to defend their purchase. They just don't want to think that they the wrong decision in buying a 300+ dollar console.Rhaigun wrote...
This thread was informative for a while, but now its just delving back into PS3 bashing. What gives? Enjoy gaming as a whole - buy all platforms. I'll never understand console fanboy/girl-ism.

I seriously doubt it will be that much. Fallout 3 is only about 5 gigs, dragon age is about 3 gigs. I'd say it would be somewhere in that area.

Balestra pointed out how important it is to ship every system with a hard drive. "The fact that every PS3 has a hard drive is huge for us." He went on to describe how the game takes advantage of Sony's offerings. "It's the combination of Blu-ray and hard drive. You can play the entire game without loading. We don't require an install. We're doing all the post-processing effects on the SPUs [Synergistic Processing Units]. The quality of the depth of field we have, you can't do that on the Xbox."

Jesse can you remove the loading screens in ME2? Like they did on Uncharted 2.

You never know they probably could have already looked at that when they were looking at putting the game on the PS3. If it is there, probably wouldn't want to talk about it until game is sorted in case there were issues.Raspberry wrote...

Anyway I am a bit confused, I thought there was loading screens in Uncharted 2? I do remember the install for it being very low in comparison to others though. So maybe PS3 version of ME2 will be like that.
I know I've said it before but what with the 360 avatars and themes, hope we have something similar, maybe outfits for PSHome. Would be cool if there was an 'area' in PSHome that was like 'Afterlife' on Omega so all us ME fans can hang out and chat about it and other things.
Wonder if there will be a sneak peak at the comic too in the demo? (not the whole thing, but maybe just a video to show it)
Edit:
@Venom UK got to agree on that, it's one of the reasons I got DAO for PS3 a few months back. Never did an 'Insanity' run on the PC version so far of ME2 (think only ever played it on easy/normal hehe) but am going to do my best to do it on PS3. Got a Vanguard run lined up for that and I've been reading a lot of the guides on best way to do it. I did get all the other achievements on the PC version, so I can definitly see Insanity being my only possible stumbling block. FOR THE PLATINUM!

Here, Here!
I just installed the first game on my 360 to warm me up for the main event. I've got an old save game of an unfinished playthrough I gotta reacquaint myself with.

Q) Please can you tell us whether any of the extras from the 360 Collectors Edition, such as the documentaries, will be included?
Q) Will there be any themes or avatars for the PS3 so that my (still picture) avatar for PS3 and Xbox 360 matches; Commander Shepard?

Erm it was, it was offered as part of the Cerberus network and was released after the game. So it was free DLC.

I'm only going to say this once. This will no doubt deteriorate into another console war droolfest, and you're very welcome to have that without me, but just for the sake of, you know, one post with actual true information in it before you sink this thread:
The reason cross-platform games typically look better on the 360 or exactly the same is because they're developed for the 360 first and then ported to the PS3. This makes perfect sense - more people have a 360, so obviously you'd develop for that platform first. However, the fact that RDR looks better on the 360 doesn't prove anything about the two consoles, it just means Rockstar didn't do a very good job with the PS3 port. PS3 exclusives often have better visuals than just about any 360 title (Uncharted 2, God of War 3), cross platform games often look better on the 360 (RDR) or the same on both consoles (Vanquish). The end.

Interesting reading, controls seem to be as I figured they might be (after having a look at what the controls were for the 360), interesting info about the comic and the opening scene being altered, whilst to me it still seems a bit weird they went with the change, I guess it makes it easier and probably less time consuming of a load if it's not having to check data. As for the silly 'console wars' type comment, I wish the media wouldn't get involved in such silly debates. People should be allowed to enjoy the games on the systems they like without people going on about how their system is 'better'.
Edit:
Gah! Watching that video showing the comic has me wanting to get my hands on it even more to find out what choices are available and I am also intrigued as to how the 'romance' choice works out?
Least it answered my question about 'sheploo' in comic, I imagine 'default' femshep is there if pick female. Also raises some queries about the demo but I'll put them in the demo topic
Ok, I really don't understand your logic here. Your aware of how cheap it is for the 360/PC now, yet you think that because the PS3 (who are paying $60 for the game) has some of the DLC included, that people should be able to get that DLC for free on the PC/360???xhugox13 wrote...
I feel pissed that they get that stuff for free but in a way it's fair because they waited a year to play this game and other version's or like 18-20 $ now. However they should make DlC Free for xbox and pc now that there getting it free
I'd suggest you read a few previous pages because I can't be bothered to once again post the listing of the DLC, but to save you the time, ALL of the current DLC that the PS3 is getting, would cost someone getting ME and ME2 for the first time on PC/360 less than it will for PS3 players to buy their copy, to the point that PC/360 owners can even get all the other paid DLC for the same price as the PS3.
So... just to re-itterate this point for the umpteenth time, PS3 AREN'T getting the DLC for free if you were to class them on the equal terms as you have with someone just getting the game for the PC/360 thus your idea is ludicrous.
