Well the exclusive content is probably only a weapons pack or so. Nothing to cry about.
I want that weapons pack if such a thing exists! I must have more guns!

There isn't any completely exclusive content for the PS3. As Jesse pointed out, the 'exclusive' PS3 DLC packs will be made up of content that was, at some point, available to Xbox 360 and PC owners of the game. So, think about it; what could Xbox 360 and PC gamers have access to at one point, but cannot access now?
- Collector's Armor
- Collector's Rifle
- Terminus Armor
- Blackstorm weapon
- Recon Hood
- Sentry Interface
- Umbra Visor
The 'exclusive' PS3 packs will be made up of this content. Not new content.

I actually took that as meaning "not even the interactive comic is PS3 exclusive". Apperantly BW will release the comic for PS3 on disc and for PC/360 through the Cerberus Network for free.Crimson-Cobalt wrote...
Bioware, you guys are the only developers I know that can actually make late ports properly. Thanks for the interactive comic book,I just have one question, about the comic book, you guys said its part of the Cerberus network does that mean it has to be downloaded or is the Cerberus network used to unlock it on disc?
Everyone gets to experience the Mass Effect trilogy, that can only be a good thing.
...too bad there is no new, upcoming 6 hour DLC for all platforms though. I kind of hoped there would be a new story DLC before xmas.

You know I wouldn't mind this "Exclusive Comic" coming to XBLA as a placement for ME1. It would allow me to set up ME 2 much quicker anyway.
I think Mr Houston said that the comic is coming through Cerberus Network, meaning that we (Xbox and PC people) will get it too.

First and foremost the ps3 version is released one year later from the original ME2 release nonetheless at full price so it's only fair there will be some of the DLC in the disc for free otherwise it would be such a rip-off for the ps3 userbase.
The exclusive ps3 content mentioned (aside from the comic) is also fair since ps3 owners will not have the full ME1 experience so Bio Ware ought to give something exclusive for the ps3 to even that out(the Interactive comic isn't actually something totally exclusive, since it's a cut short version of ME1)
No matter all the whining here it will not change the outcome since Sony has some policies in their contracts when it comes to ex-exclusives coming to ps3 so as the ps3 userbase don't get something totally "second hand".
Tales of Vesperia,Star Ocean:international and some others had additional exclusive content on the ps3 that you won't find anywhere else.
It's only fair.Sony gives the green light to devs to release on their systems "second hand" as long as there is additional exclusive content and i don't think the interactive comic counts.
As for all the whiners who cheap threatening BioWare that they will not buy the ps3 version or they will boycott BioWare's games and DLC because of that...give it a rest.We all know that won't happen

I certainly hope that the PS3 version will get more new content, exclusive or not. I'd be disappointed if the PS3 version is just the Xbox360/PC version with the introductory experience and the DLCs that the Xbox360/PC already got.
Come on Bioware! Give people a reason to want to shell out 50€ again to buy a game they already have for the Xbox360/PC!

So there's really no reason for all the whinning going on. All the PS3 users are getting is the already released DLC content for free. Big whoop.

I'm glad this has been clarified by BioWare. If the only 'exclusive' thing is the interactive comic, well, no PC/360 gamer should complain actually.
They are gonna release more than one exclusive DLC to the PS3.

Sony demands exclusive content on their contracts when it comes to exclusive games from other consoles coming to ps3 at a later date.E.g take every 360 timed-exclusive title that came to ps3 afterwards and you'll understand what that means.
there will be exclusive content (the comic introduction doesn't count as one)but it won't be something major.Probably a weapon or a short side mission which technically will not cause any disparity between userbases.
The whining must stop though it's not like it's a whole different experience.Ps3 still doesn't get the full ME1 experience

Exclusive at the time of release. Nothing stops BW to e.g. release ME2PS3 with the interactive comic, wait a month and than release it on the Cerberus Network for the other two plarforms.Kos-mos80 wrote...

Just because (mostly japanese devs where the 360's role is pretty unimportant. I remember some especially lazy jp. devs that simply -and quite obviously- cut content out of the 360 version only to later release the full version of the game on the PS3 -then dubbed "exclusive, new" content.) some devs do not bother updating the, then old, 360 version after releasing the PS3 version doesn't mean all devs will.

for all we know the terms in Sony's contracts when it comes to these cases may be very strict,it has nothing to do with jp and western devs.
Microsoft have some strict terms too when it comes to some 3rd party dev franchises that can't be ported to other consoles
Just like Microsoft has rights over ME1 which wasn't the publisher for the PC version and BioWare can't find a loophole to release it on ps3,Sony might as well share rights along with Bioware when it comes to additional content on their system from an exclusive title from another platfrom. Previous 360 exclusive titles that eventually released on ps3 prove that this may be the case.

Bioware can publish ME1 on the PS3.It doesn't matter who published it.An author retains the right to their book it's never the publishers, except in some rare cases.Remember that the 360 version of Mass Effect 1 had huge technical shortcomings.Frame rate,Freezing,Texture popping and long load times and that was all on the Xbox.Imagine what would happen if they ported it to the PS3,porting ME1 properly would take a lot of money. It would cause Bioware a significant amount of loss. The interactive comic book is brilliant way to handle the ME1 choices problem in my opinion.
No they can't, it is owned by microsoft.
