I think they should abandon the PS3 too and make Mass Effect Wii exclusive.

The moment they think it might bring them more money, they will.

They should do it.  Make Mass Effect Parti Babiez.

It could be the biggest Wii hit of the year.

In Germany some gaming sites say something about a bonus mission, which will be included in the demo ... so if there is any "bonus" in the PS3 version, we won´t know till it´s released ...

Dude, try reading the dev post that is the OP of this very thread: we already know, and there is no new content. They are bundling in the three story DLCs.  That's it, other than the comic that substitutes for ME1.  Doesn't matter what some gaming sites say in Germany, or anywhere else.

They could be trying to compare the PS3 demo to the PC/360 demo. I already know that the PS3 demo doesn't have the 'resume' function that the latter did because I asked Chris Priestly about it.

As for 'bonus' it could easily be an extra mission in the demo from the game. Mordin's mission has been shown in some of the 'gameplay' footage, so perhaps it is that one as well as the ones the PC/360 had.

Don't worry about building a divide between 360/PS3/PC users, there already is one and they built it themselves.

This whole PS3/360PC thing makes me really sad.  People have no faith in Bioware after what they have given us.  Some of you are truly ingrates.

If I have unactivated Dr. Pepper DLC for Mass Effect 2 will I be able to use it on the PS3 version?

What does "unactivated" mean?  You never downloaded it, or you never redeemed the codes or something?

Unlikely.......I think the promotion ends in January before the PS3 version comes out so I'm retty sure that's when you cease to be able to redeem those codes. At any rate you might want to check on when the promotion ends and when the codes expire.

The promo ends Dec. 31st, and any unredeemed codes still out there will work until Jan 31st, 2011.

I'm worried about ME2 on the PS3. I have been asking for about a month if the game's save files are copy locked, to no answer.

I thought that was a requirement to even release a game on the PS3 at all......do you know any games on the PS3 that aren't copy locked?

It would be easier to list the games that are not. Most devs have started locking the saves to PSN ID instead, but the incusion GT5 ensures that companies (even within Sony) still don't get this. I don't understand why it is such an issue, with DA2 I got an answer very quickly, but ME2 has left me in the dark for a while. Anyway, here is the list:

You've been misinformed.  It's completely optional. Often, when people complain on company forums, they like to claim they had to lock them because Sony said so, but it's complete, self-serving BS. They locked them because they wanted them locked.  In fact, some companies have actually released patches to unlock saves in response to complaints.

Also, you can actually transfer locked saves between systems now, and it's been possible for a while, but it requires a direct console-to-console ethernet connection. Unfortunately, it also completely overwrites the drive of the receiving system and also tends to fail.  A lot.

Looking at that link and at what you guys said things look bad either way to me. Can you immagine having to re-download all the DLCs and losing all your saves when changing your console? That sounds unbearable to me.....I have a lot of gigs of DLCs, games, movies, music and other stuff on my HDD and it would be a nightmare for me to recover it all plus no modding....I think I'd go insane.

I had to do just that (except for the playing through all my games again part): the blu-ray drive in my PS3 died a couple months back and Sony just sent me a completely different console of the same model, so I couldn't just plug my upgraded drive back in as I'd originally planned to do.  I'd have used the backup utility, but the stupid thing hardly ever works properly and commonly corrupts the data.  Which is exactly what it did when I upgraded to that larger hard drive a ways back.  At the time, out of curiosity, I tried a few more backups of the completely blank and freshly formatted drive, and not once did it ever manage to restore (amusingly, in a bitter sort of way, it forces a reformat every time you use it).

I had this happen too, and lost all of my DA:O save files, and for games that have you import save files, this is unacceptable. DA:O had the copy lock, but the DA team took it out of the sequel, and answered question about it. So far, the ME team refuses, for something that should be, quoting a Bioware Mod, "well publicized beforehand."

At least make the Interactive comic availible to us PC ad Xbox fans, because I started on 2 (I know blasphemous) and I haven't been able to find 1 anywhere so being able to make choices like save Wrex or the Rachni would really be great

Try Amazon. Or Gamestop.  Or BestBuy.  Or any number of other retailers.  Or download it from Xbox LIVE or Steam or EA.  It's trivially easy to acquire ME1, either on disc or digitially.

No. You guys have an interactive GAME, way better than an interactive comic.
