I'm playing through as a mage; any useful advice on taking him down would be much appreciated!

No doubt the power players consider all that cheating but WTH.

Wow, so you made Brogan a DW too? And he survived that? When I played he barely even survived as a fully pumped tank, equipped with the very best stuff I had, shield wall on et cetera.Addai67 wrote...
Finally got Grim Reaper myself, on a melee character even. But only because I had a gazillion potions (I started collecting Deep Mushrooms for stamina potions even in Origins) and because I brought some Manuals of Focus over from Awakening. I re-spec'ed the warrior character to DW Fade Warrior, which kept him from dying in five seconds flat as he usually does. Also put Venture on him for the +12 constitution. Re-spec'ed the rogue to include an archery attack so he could scattershot the corpses and occasionally pull away to ranged. Both my rogue and he had Legionnaire Scout which is almost a must-have, and Ranger which is nice to divert some of the aggro. We had everyone but the golem standing at the end.
No doubt the power players consider all that cheating but WTH.
Would you be so nice and tell me how you distributed the attribute points for him (Strength, Dexterity etc.)? It seems that your build is much more effective than mine. I'd really like to improve my DW warrior (or my next one).

Didn't understand this as everyone generally agrees the second part is easiest, but far too many skeletons appear for me and I spend all my time healing rather than dealing damage.
Hope to give hard another shot soon though

My philosophy in Origins was always to make everyone high DPS and that seemed to work well here, though defense is also important. For my two rogues that was Evasion plus the Legion Scout talents, for Brogan his Beyond the Fade mode. Reading online, people also use Evasion runes on warriors. I didn't have any of those as I avoid the Runecraft mess in Awakening.

Thanks for your answer, that's interesting, I will have to try that myself. When you happen to flip through the attribute sheet of the DW warrior again, a screenshot or something would be very cool to have indeed. Much appreciated!Addai67 wrote...

I'll have to check when I get home what the attribute spread was, but it was a basic DW warrior setup with points spread between dex, str, will and con.

(I should have given Jerrik the Legion's training too, seems very good. But I was too lazy to set up all the tactics to make him use the abilities right. ^^)

So, my tactic was to deal as much damage as I could right off the bat and use my two potions on Brogan as needed. He dies, golem dies. Then I started "kiting" that fatso while letting Jerrik arrow his arse. When he would switch attention to Jerrik, I used him to kite and my main to take some swings. If he was about to throw his flesh... stuff (ew), it's easy to dodge if you just strafe as he throws it.
So then he got the health boost, and I guess he glitched because the little thing never moved as I took my swings at him and killed him. Cool >_>
So try kiting.. something I used often in my MMO years

Ok, I took a screenshot of his character page. Now some build nerd is gonna come on and say you did it wroooong but just remember I was improvising and don't claim to be an expert.antigravitycat wrote...

He has on:
Helm of Hirol's Defense for +4 con, +6 defense
Gauntlets of Hirol's Defense for +4 str, 3% crit chance, +1 armor
Venture for +12 con and +12 defense
Boots of Hirol's Defense for +6 con
Illumination amulet for +3 all attributes
2 x Ring of the Warrior for a total of +4 str and +4 dex
He's wielding Atonement (a mod sword) with +6 def and +10 attack and Dumat's Spine with +6 attack, .75 stamina regen, +15% crit chance and flaming
I have some elemental runes on there, nothing too fancy since I didn't do any runecrafting in Awakening.
That's my Brogan Reboot. He was awesome.
Oh, and here's his tactics page in case that helps. The only thing that I'd change was to activate Beyond the Veil at 75% or 50% health. Or, just keep it on as it helps him not take damage. I didn't end up using any of his Guardian or Spirit Warrior talents other than that. I did use War Cry on the skeletons.

With a few reloads once ina while, but in general, with not much problems.
I'm on probably the first part of awakening, cause my warrior is lv26. So, i played witch Hunt and finished on Nightmare. Piece of a cake.
Then did Golems on nightmare too .... But the end fight was almost impossible to do. Tried too many times and, sometimes went to second part of fight, but then hp potions were over and wiped.
So, against my will, i went down to Hard dif.
First that i had 0 potions when i started Golems...
Second, i didnt upgraded the golem with lightning or heal or revival , missed just that room. only founded out AFTER killed him on Hard =(
It's insane the damage i was taking on Nightmare. And with little potions and no heals, was kinda impossible.
Maybe i'll try again now that i saved before battle and got the upgrades too and resaved there.
But in the end, i finished on lv27 warrior with 3-4 itens from Awakening only and less than 20 health potions and no lightning/heal/revival upgrades on golem and left the other chars builds as they were received. And only the main character was alive when i killed the bastard. But did it.
In some way, i'm proud of that lol.
Yeah, i known, i like to suffer.

Hey thanks a lot for this! You also made screens of the tactics, perfect!
