The Witcher changed stuff too. May you pollute their forums just as obnoxiously.
Yes! But ofc they have released way more detailed information about what has changed and what is staying true to the first one (with dev vids!). And its just as fare off on release as DA2, possible longer.
And that seem to be the problem with DA2, lack of proper information!. All we really got atm is that the combat is is fast and furious, and some quotes about fighting like a sparta, be a champion blabla. And Dev responds that usually end with cryptic messages and more gues work (tbh i blame mike for that with much love!). xD
And this make people form crazy opinions about a product we know nothing off!. I do it to.

I'm not saying they should follow Bethesda, I'm saying it's not really a cinematic "awesome" game, yet it sells more, and dumbing everything down doesn't neceserally mean more sales.
The only hack and slash that sold this year is GOW III and dragon age II doesn't look nearly as epic.
Enslaved and Castlevania underpreformed majorly, despite great marketing and critical reception.
So you think that everyone who got DA and ME aren't gonna bother getting DA2?
Both those games got good reviews, nowhere near as good as what Bioware games usually get though
Oops, i meant enslaves and castlevania got mediocre reviews, not ME and DA

Mass Effect 2 may have sold better on consoles, but i doubt it was so hot on PC. So making DA II like Mass Effect 2 may mean losing as much sales as gaining. Don't Bioware know the situiation on the console market? People will only buy multiplayer shooters, If 3 million that Dragon Age made aren't enough for them then i don't know what to say. Used game sales will oblitareate this game especially know when we find out that it's what 10-20 hours long.

The portion of people who brought DA and feel alienated and will not buy the sequel are small but very loud and moany. And you keep on ignoring the fact that ME also sold very well, and most of the people who got that are likely to buy DA2
You seem to have a very exaggarated view of the PC games importance, all of the best sellers on the PC are old, and consols sales nowadays almost alwyas completely eclipse PC sales

Dragon Age sold on PC as much as any of the consoles.
So did Battlefield Bad Company 2.
Starcraft II sold three million on PC almost as much as Halo Reach sold on the 360.
Console sales are declining every year while PC sales are rising every year.
If consoles are such money makers then explain Enslaved or Alan Wake. Both flopped miserably with favorable reviews and expensive marketing campaigns.

The fact you said brah means you loose this argument automatically
Do you have any proof that console sales are declining while PC are rising?
If thats so then why did MW2 make more than a billion dollars?
The fact you have 2 examples of games which failed on the consoles is your conclusive proof consoles are failing? Compare that to all the flops on the pc

Ah yes, the Origins Bioware hyped up the ass just so they can remove them from the second game.
Origins don't really seem necessary if they settled on one distinct character...

What flops on PC? There aren't many big budget exclusives on PC, so I'm curious what flops?
Stalker COP sold about two million copies.
Starcraft II sold three million.
I'm sure that Napoleon Total War and Empire Total war had amazing sales especially when they're making Shogun II next year.
Same with the DOW II franchise.
WHAT high budget PC game flopped?

uh...the devs confirmed ME2's leveling system in DA2? WHEN?????
I have no idea what the ME 2 leveling system means in this case. DA II has the rogue/warrior/mage trees of DA:O and the companions also get a special talent tree.

it means no XP from enemies at all but you get XP from completing quests and the XP tresholds are much lower to allow faster progression

The articles show that video game sales in general are decreasing, including PC, while people are going from buying PC games at a store to buying them on steam. They do not show that the PC sales are overtaking console sales
APB was a complete failure
Beyond Good & Evil
Psychonauts and Grim Fandango

Crysis didn't flop. It sold three million copies. It sold enough for Crytek to have the money to buy another studio and develop not just Crysis 2 but another engine for all platforms.
Spore was pirated a lot but sold i think nearly 1.5 million copies which is considered a success. Maxis is working on another spore title right now called Darkspore.

of course they sold well BUT they sold only what half as much as they would have if they were nor incredibly pirated (spore because of a developer choice non the less)
and look what happened...now both spore and Crysis came to consoles mostly because they would have much better sales there (and not because consoles are superior obviously)
