Posting this here because I dunno where else to post it.  >.< Someone feel free to move it elsewhere if there's someplace more appropriate.

Alright, so... I'm looking for a good rogue/fighter/SD build.  I know there's tons out there, but I checked them out and they really don't match what I'm after.  I want something that's good enough in combat but also good for RP, as I tend to play on RP-oriented servers:P

Necessary:
Elf
Either dual-wields shortswords or wields 1 rapier
Rogue-heavy for the fun stuff (Crippling strike, etc.)
At least 1 level of Shadowdancer (for HiPS)
Able to have 12+ charisma (because I'm a RP nutcase and like having RP stats)

Things that are nice to have but not necessary:
Epic Dodge
Self-Concealment (preferably V)
(Epic) Weapon Specialization

Other notes..
I'm throwing fighter in there because I found out the hard way that rogues have an abysmal AB if you don't throw Fighter or Ranger or something in there.  I don't really care how much, just as long as it doesn't overpower the Rogue.  The cheeseball level of SD is there because I love my HiPS.  (They should make it available to rogues as an epic bonus feat or something :P Ah well.)  If more Shadowdancer will fit in the build, well and good.  If not, 1 level is fine.  This is really just something that I can use on any server that isn't PvP-heavy.. so even if it only works well in PvM, that's all I need ^_^

So... anybody got any suggestions? I've tried building this but whenever I get something I want something else disappears.  (Usually the AB... -.-)

With your Cha prereq I'd expect CoT to be handier than Fighter even with only a few levels. If you don't mind waiting until level 11 to take your first level, that is. I'm thinking 12rog/8CoT pre-epic for 17BAB and some help with that AB problem, extra saves and DR. Just an idea.

I considered that, somewhat... problem is she's Chaotic Neutral, lol... but if that ends up being the only option then it could work.

CoT only needs to be non-evil.

If you want an elven Rogue/FTR/SD with a definite majority of Rogue levels you will incur in a 20% XP penalty sooner or later. Is this still ok with you?

With a 12 CHA CoT special CHA powers are just moved one little step up from useless to next to useless. You can safely ignore them. The advantage of CoT is sacred defense (+1 ST for every 2 lvls in the PrC) and the absence of an XP penalty at the cost of 1 combat feat and access to WS/EWS.

Rogue 19/FTR 8/SD 13 (Rogue 8/SD 8/FTR 4 preepic) will net you ED, EWS and SCV no problem in addition to Crippling Strike, 41 mundane AB (39 dual wielding shortswords) and 31 naked AC. Halfling woul dbe a better race choice (no XP penalty and better AB/AC). SCV might easily not be worth the investment, a wand of Impr Invis most often is a sound substitute (assuming availability of such wands from one source or another).

Otherwise Rogue 29/FTR 10/SD 1 (Rogue 12/SD 1/FTR 7 preepic) nets similar results but with a higher SA bonus.

Both of those sound fine, really. XP penalties mean nothing to me, I'm so used to them because of crazy class combinations :P
