I haven't complained about the combat speed i really thought it was too fast in DA:O. Or to be more accurate the results of a fight were too fast.

On the other hand i can't remember that i have read someone complaining about it. No idea why they changed it!

Just a turn of phrase for ease of communication.

It's real meaning is "when encountered in a face-to-face situation" where two beings are in close physical proximity.

Ergo, it's no more "real life" than writing a letter is, but it's a factual position that a lot of people have increased ego values when faced with situation where they have no immediate consequences for their actions, such as boasteous talk and incorrect statements and defending them to greater verocity than they would when confronted about it in person, without a medium to portray their thoughts through.

Of course, such people are generally not worth discussing with and my post was made with that bit of facetous remark in mind.
