I am using the toolset to change the Thane Helmet back to its original stats (+3 defence), from the modified version found in Improved Atmosphere.

I went into the toolset and opened the file for Thane Helm and found it was all original stats, so I deleted the file found in the Improved Atmosphere folder but it still had modified stats?? 

I tried loading old saves from before I obtained the helm but the stats will not revert back to normal.

Can someone walk me thru what I need to do?

Could anyone please help me with this? I deleted every item file of Thanes Helm. The only one I have left is the one I modified back to its original stats, but for some reason the changes are not appearing in game?

Wow, 44 views and no one has any idea how to change an items stats and have them show up in game?

Did you export from the toolset? If you're still getting the mod's version, could it be you're loading a save game? I think I recall some of that data getting cached.

Yes I exported from the toolset without dependencies or something like that. I also loaded a game before I obtained the helm but the stats stay the same.

I did a search of my entire PC for any other files of the helm, but the only one I found was in my override folder/toolset export, the one I modified.

Oh and one more interesting thing. I changed the description of the helm in the toolset and that DID show up in game, just the stats stay the same (lower threat, and lucky). I did use the toolset to change the stats back to +3 defence but it won't transfere to the game for some odd reason.

Do an export with dependent resources. Since the item is pre-placed in the Chasind Cache, updating the item and not exporting the referenced resources will not give you the modified stats.

Or, export both the item and the chasind cache (litip_kor_trail_cache under placeables)

Ok this is getting ridiculous. I have changed the stats, exported, made sure the it was the only file on my system, exported the litip_kor_trail_cache. But I am still getting the stats from Improved Atmosphere (reduced hostility and lucky).

Is there some sort of cache I can clear mabey? It makes no sense because that item with those stats are no longer on my pc or in the toolset yet they keep showing up on the item in-game.

Make sure the item version from Improved Atmosphere is removed. I don't know where it places the item override but if it is in packages/core/override, make sure you remove the .uti from that mod. It is possible this item is packaged in an erf so you will have to open the erf in the toolset, remove the item and save the erf.

how would I find the erf file?

The quickest way I can think of is to open the dazip in winzip/7-zip/etc and see which erf files are present and placed where.

Well I appreciate all your help, even if I can't figure it out. I deleted the file in the Improved Atmosphere folder and there is no ERF file, but still no luck.<_< I will just have to forget about it.
