I am not sure if i can post it on here, but if you go on Youtube and search for Dragon Age 2 you will find a gameplay video from Igromir 2010.

We can see some of the mages moves, with Bethany in front + some Varric + some Cassandra + a costumized Hawke?

Beware there are some spoilers around Carver and the story. Just a teeeny bit.

The magic attack animations are 437% cooler looking than the standing still pew-pewing of Dragon Age: Origins.

Yes, they're pretty cool.  I hate the way the staff is held while moving though

No, i meant that in the gameplay he is not the usual Hawke with the beard and such...so the players at that conference got a glimpse of the char creator? Maybe..

There are some shots and a review from Igromir2010 where the character creator was apparently active because the default Hawke is very, very, very customized.

To the point that FemHawke looks like Dhalsim from Street Fighter.  Let's just say you can make some wild looking characters.

Agreed. Though I still wish they were a leetle bit slower.

Looks good to me, I'm not really seeing any major difference from origins (well obviously I'm seeing that it's faster and the new dialogue system) just a few cosmetic ones for the better.

I really want to see a post-"2handersaremadfast" rage gameplay video.

Even Jade Empire combat is slower paced than this.

Edit: Cassandra's puppy eyes really damaged the image I've had of her so far.
Edit2: And what's with the spell effects during cutscenes? I know this is just a demo footage, but I remember a specific promise.

Another note on Bethany, well moreso the player controlling her: I haven't seen that much kiting since I solo'd Toirdealbach with my Ranger in AoC after the rest of my squad wiped.

(Okay, I'm exaggerating.  About the guy playing Bethany.  I totally solo'd that boss.)

After watching that, I can safely say that I like the new model of Cassandra a lot better than that old one. Because that did not look good at all.

Casandra looks different from all of her, regenerations, Mage's are cool, love the way they hold their staff, but it is a tad faster than I would like

Also, I dig the fact that, despite having been made in a (presumably) very short time, that custom Hawke actually looks at least slightly good. No fish-lipped, chimp-faced custom characters a la Mass Effect this time around: my mad chargen skillz won't go to waste.

EDIT: The new model for Cass is really good.

Huh... Cassandra's eyes just look... weird O_o And I also don't particulary like Varric's hair, it looks like it just doesn't fit with him



And it's nice to see a customized Hawke and some new footage. The animations look waaay cooler.

Hm, Igromir 2010 is taking place in my city (Moscow) yet I didn't go there this year... If only I knew DA2 would be there..
It's usually too damn crowded, hence I stopped attending.
And this time demo looks hard. Too hard for an intro section, IMO.

From the few leaked videos I saw so far, Hawke seems to have fewer conversation choices compared to the warden in DAO... I mean is it just me feeling that?
