I just played for 2 hours last night after buying and saved my game.  I can see the saved files in my characters folder in Windows Explorer but they do not appear in game at the main menu.  Why can I not load a file that I saved a few hours ago and where do saved files need to go?  Any help would be dearly appreciated.
