I am wondering if there are any DA dedicated writer or mod web workshops out there.

If not, what would be your interest in having one?  Am thinking about creating one...

Right now I'm workshopping my story on a writer's site but it would help if I had more people who had actually played the game workshopping it. The same could be said for modding (testers and the like).

Hopefully we'll see some more replies. If you have some friends who would be interested ask them to reply on this thread.

What is it you are looking for? Just someone to read what you've written for editing reasons? :)

Having a community of fellow writers who have played DA:O would be advantageous for a lot of writers. It would be good, too, if there were a place for mod developers to have resource where they could find users who could test and proofread mods.

As far as writers go, there's a pretty active community on Dreamwidth, there's this section of the forums and there's fanfiction.net. I'm so not mentioning the dragonage kinkmeme thread on LiveJournal, so you won't hear about it from me.

Mod makers have the toolset section of the forums, which actually has an active developer presence.

Yeah, I have to agree with mousestalker... you're posting this to a community of fellow writers who have played DA right now. And there's peopleofthedas on dreamwidth, groups on livejournal dedicated to just about every single major character, the kmemes...
I'm not quite sure what you want that can't be done here or through one of the many venues that already exist.

If you're specifically looking for someone to proofread your work for grammar, continuity, or lore you're actually looking for a beta reader, not a writer's community. In which case there's a substantial list of people on fanfiction.net who beta specifically for DA fic. Or you can ask here or on one of the other groups, since there are betas who don't list themselves there.

The fandom for Origins specifically is only going to get smaller, not larger, from this point on. Spreading ourselves out further doesn't seem like it would serve the community as a whole.

You might want to check the groups area to see if there is a 'writing guild' or sorts but pretty much if you're just looking for people well you got this board right here and the others that have been listed. If you really wanted to you could just make your own group. I'm pretty sure people would join.
