The main hub is New Calcutta,so I guess if we get the chance we'll go there. Or if its anything like Starship Troopers we'll be going to Rio De Janeiro : P

Dubai would be a perfect location if we visit earth.

1. We haven't been to a desert climite in Mass Effect excluding the boring uncharted worlds in ME1.

2. The city is already futuristic with its towering buildings and huge malls and it would be great to see it even bigger in the future, have the Burj Khalifa dwarfed by an even taller skyscraper etc.

3. Its not the boring stereotypical location used in movies and video games that we've visited many times ie. somewhere in america, mostly NYC.

4.  People from a range of backgrounds and ethnicities live there and in a Mass Effect future I'd imagine the diversity would be greater still.

5. It will still feel foreign enough to most people to be an interesting location to discover and explore ingame e.g there are cultural differences, different traditional dress.

Due to global warming, I'd expect the area near the equator to be a wasteland, with only regions far north or far south to be habitable. Hence, the centers of civilisation would be... GREENLAND AND NEW ZEALAND! I'd totally visit that.

Things aren't that bad in the ME universe if you read the codex. Also for global warming to be that bad would require a ridiculous amount of greenhouse gases over many centuries. And since sea levels would rise drastically in such a scenario I'd imagine the majority of NZ and Greenland to be submerged underwater.

I still visit Egypt though, one of the clues to defeat the Reapers is inside the Great Pyramid of Giza! but you need to kill some mercs first before you do that...

and some other secrets maybe on the other species homeworlds (e.g. the unknown Rachni homeworld, etc.)

I don't care much for the idea of going to Earth. What for? Virmire worked great already.
Then again, what should we think inside The Citadel, Or anything in Mass Effect we've seen so far for that matter,
is inspired from but from what's on Earth?
Also, Fallout 3 already has gone to Earth.

It would be funny to visit New York and see a headless Statue of Liberty.

Once we're no longer dependent on fossil fuels (i.e. in the time of Mass Effect), I suspect there really wouldn't be much money to be made in the intervening years to keep an incredibly unsustainable city like Dubai functioning.

They didn't model my house! *RAGE*

But seeing future earth would be interesting, specially seeing the large differences between different areas (developed vs nondeveloped) as described in the first novel. Social commentary anyone?

Cloverfield.

To be honest, there's a 99% chance of the head being replaced.

If you read the codex you'd know that they rebuilt the Statue of Liberty and placed the original head on display until it was stolen. :)

It would be great to visit Earth, see places we all know. Although, it will be a great undertaking to show popular landmarks so if they do create Earth in the ME universe, I bet it's only going to be a small city we'll be able to walk around.

I wouldn't worry too much about Dubai, if the oil dries up they'll probably find some eezo the next day...

If Shepard ever goes to earth, I want to see the windswept steppes of Mongolia and hunt yak with the Mako

Dubai isn't sustained by oil. Its sustained by investment and tourism.
