I just wanted to post repro info about the 90 degree turning bug so they can patch it properly.
SYSTEM
I am using plain nwn2 with betrayer expansion and the latest patch.
No mods.
I mainly use character mode camera but any mode shows the problem.
REPRO
Hold the forward key and a turn key at the same time (for example W and D) for about a half to full second, then release them. The character will turn to face a direction 90 degrees or more away from the direction of movement. You can also repro this with the mouse and a turning key and also moving forward or backward.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
When you stop moving, the character should stop turning and moving and stay where pointed at the time that movement stopped.
NOTES
If you hold the movement and turning keys for more than about a second, you won't see the problem.
Please fix this, it is ruining my overall enjoyment of the game because this bug is in my face all the time while playing. Thanks!

Also, please note that if you cannot reproduce this problem, make sure to release the movement and turn keys at the very same time, otherwise you won't see it.

It sounds like you're experiencing this problem in Single-Player mode, rather than Multi-Player, where this bug is usually encountered. True/False?
If this is in online play, please consider using Skywing's awesome Client Extension. His latest version fixes this bug and many others.

Use client extension in single player too, it helps just as much. Latest version sounds like it addresses this.

I'm having problems with the fix above, major performance hit.

All respect to the guy who wrote the client extension, but when I use it it just causes the character to jerk back to its original position after jerking over to the wrong position. So after you stop walking your character is bouncing around back and forth to correct itself.
This is in single player mode, I've never used multiplayer yet.
Thanks!

AdamM: Yes, this is how the current workaround works - your orientation will be reset to the intended value when the problem condition occurs. A more complete fix that avoids the jittering at the end of a movement request encountering the spin issue may be present in a future release, but the current release had other fixes which had been waiting for a long time to be put out there.
